One of the best uses for a slow cooker, this particular recipe went for ~6.5 hours. It went from items in the fridge/pantry to cooking in <30 minutes (except the rice (and gravy) that was cooked right before we ate).
Underneath all those potatoes and carrots is a chunk of beef that was labeled arm roast, it also had onions underneath...

The roast removed from the crock pot so I could remove the chunks of fat left on it and break the meat up into manageable pieces to eat...
