I was the geography bee champion at my elementary school.  I know all the states and the capitals and probably the largest cities in each state.  Most of the countries are doable except some of the island nations.  I love geographic factoids.  Ken Jennings is one of my heroes.

Mine is half a small town's name followed by a non shire suffix, next door is just a name and a bit further south is the wannabe country, also not named after anything and not a shire.  These are all big ones, I wouldn't like to guess how many Counties there are let alone naming them - I think I'd get a higher percentage of the US states )

Several friends and I like to play a drinking game "let's write down all 50 states". We are all Canadian by the way. We usually get 47-50. Sometimes we try capitals but have never done too well on that.

I think I would too. US states are much more widely publicised and used when talking about towns all the time, unlike here when you hardly ever associate the town name with the county.
