Holidays and booze

Does anyone else barely drink during the working year but as soon as holidays hit, turn into a certified drunk.

3 days in a row and counting

The only reason I didn't drink tonight is because I drank it all last night....

I don't drink much all year but when I do it's often too much.

At Christmas I drink more often but one day of dealing with extended family with a hangover many years ago was enough for this lifetime - the only time I'll have more than a couple of drinks during the holidays is today, before the festivities start.

Have fun :)

My girl and I probably go through a big bottle of vodka every month. We usually have 1-2 drinks every night, but we are also in agreement that no one should spend christmas sober and everyone deserves a "treat" haha.

I normally have one or two beers on my days off from work in the evenings and the gf will have a vodka. But during the holidays, for a few years now, I've been making my homemade eggnog. This year I made the eggnog November 20th and aged it for a month in the fridge. There's enough cognac, bourbon and rum in it to prevent it from going bad even for a year in the back of your fridge and the flavour gets much better after 3 weeks or so. The alcohol content works out to about 10.4% by volume. It's very tasty on the rocks. Tastes pretty boozy so it's a sipping nog. We'll also be doing vodka jello grinch shots as part of a drinking game when we watch the movie. And prior to all of that we'll start out with brunch and mimosas.  We'll probably have a pitcher of vodka cranberry ginger-ale and lime going too.

I cracked my second beer today (22oz) and realized I've been getting drunk every day for the last 3 days. The rest of the year I drink about twice a month, so I'd say yeah, the season affects me and my liver.

It doesn't take much to stay drunk guys..

Pace it for maximum duration..

Also, you'd want to drink 4-5x the volume in WATER relative to the alcoholic beverage..

That way, you won't have hangovers the next day, and can continue drinking..

To this day, I do not know how I don't get hungover, no matter how much I have the night before. Pacing is good advice in general, though.
