**Reiterating once again that I am in no way involved financially or otherwise with any of the below-mentioned Artisan makers**

Hi guys,

Those of you who frequent /r/mechmarket and GeekHack will likely remember a few posts and the surrounding community frustration where a user decided to flip and sell a Solar Snowcone Otterophile for $250 USD. This was done after he won the key for free in a giveaway from an extremely generous community member (/u/djhoulihan).

Seeing the community reaction was definitely understandable. Some awesome people went so far as to try and pool resources to purchase the key, just to get it out of the hands of someone who evidently didn't care about anything other than the money. The last time he posted, I decided to try and turn a negative situation into a positive one by purchasing the key and asking for input from active members.

Some people felt that giving in and purchasing the key at the asking price simply reinforced the flipping behaviour. I personally strongly disagree with this mindset. I was a R1 Otterophile winner (Complementary Concentrate), and paid the original price of $70 for my key. The person who chose to sell it is not a liar. I've had offers of $200+ pretty consistently, and that key would have sold eventually, likely to a wealthy buyer, never to be seen again. In my mind, what I'm trying to do will allow people to get the chance of winning a key for a low cost, all while benefiting charity, and hopefully HWS as well. **To be clear: I have no issue with people paying what they feel is fair for keys. I do have an issue with a free key being flipped for profit, especially since that was the ONLY request for the giveaway winner.**

On to the good stuff:

* Entry is $3 per raffle ticket, with a maximum of 5 entries, though please donate more if you are able and willing.

* The charity: Direct Relief. Very wonderful, financially transparent charity based in the U.S., that is active in 70+ countries, primarily with the goal of providing natural disaster relief and assistance. www.directrelief.org

* Please note: If you choose to enter this raffle and are selected as a winner, but you have a history of flipping/scalping, your account is less than two weeks old, you are a known scammer, or are blacklisted by Binge/other vendors, you WILL NOT GET A KEY even if your name is drawn.

* I will invoice each person who enters the raffle, and everyone will have 36 hours to pay. I will then enter all of the usernames into a randomized selection website in order to pick the four winners.

* Last but not least: many of the people who I originally messaged have offered me small donations to make up the cost of what I paid for the Solar Snowcone Otterophile. I really, really appreciate the thought behind this, and I decided to add a portion to the form to accept any donations. However, these donations I receive will be sent directly to HWS, with the goal of offsetting the price of materials/molds, and to buy sealers for their molds. I hope that this will serve a dual purpose of getting more HWS keys and projects out into the wild. As such, please feel free to once again give what you can. Note that this will in no way affect your raffle chances.

* The donation to charity will be made on behalf the /r/mechanicalkeyboards and GeekHack community.

Thanks and all the best. Apologies for any formatting errors, I am the OP on Reddit!
