« on: Wed, 22 March 2017, 01:27:18 »
Guys,  IDK why,  but I really like the smell of titebond wood glue (Original)..

It's not like I purposely go and sniff the glue, I would never do that,  but I really enjoy the time i spend gluing wood together.

When I was younger I used to love the smell of gasoline. Still kinda do actually.
Can't explain that, just smells good to me.

I knew someone who ate glue growing up and he turned out all right I guess...  He works for the city as a solid waste technician so he says.  So I'm assuming he deals in some sort of poo

There was a glue stick I used when I was in my first years of public school that smelled like fruit loops. I really enjoyed smelling that as a young Michael

Pretttttty sure most wood glues can't get one high..

Maybe the instant-bond stuff has some very volatile solvents..

Neh, probably not. The actual glue sniffers went to glues with very different solvents (yes, it was the solvents they were after).

BTW, you reminded me that I forgot to throw away a jar of rabbit glue from when I repaired an antique chair a few days ago. Thanks! It was absolutely rancid now ...

For me too.  When I was a kid, I had a minder whose husband was an auto mechanic who worked in the yard outside.

That's all in your head TP. :-þ
I think there was a faint smell of gasoline almost everywhere in the house, and I liked the minder and it was cosy inside and these were good times, so I associate that smell with good times.

Later, when I went to school, it was popular among the kids to have felt-tip pens with various smells (chocolate, strawberry, etc.). You were actually encouraged to smell the pens. That couldn't have been healthy, could it?

Oh dear, tp's a glue sniffer.

That would explain a lot.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
