Rick and Morty Season 3 [No Spoilers Please]

Man.. That first episode is so awesome..

I'm watching it for the third time right now after having woken up at 2am to play firembrum.

It's so good..   if they can match this quality with the rest of the shows everyweek, this will go down as the greatest show ever..

right. after TNG, firefly and outlawstar.

Not really a spoiler but the episode shared a lot of themes with the pilot. Probably one of the craziest overall episodes and makes me even more excited for season 3.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

I get that, I let it loop 4 times before rewatching season 1 and 2. At this point I've seen every episode at least 6 times.

So much happens in s3e1 it feels like 2 episodes.

Holy crap, I had no idea it was coming back already. I've been re-watching all of the episodes these past couple weeks.

I'm loving April so far... Rick & Morty S3 + Better Call Saul S3 + Fargo S3!

i stopped watching BCS back in season 1, i felt like the show really needed to move faster per-episode..  probably watch it when they finish.

the szechwan sauce is discontinued..

but you can find the szechwan pepper corns at any asian grocery or online..   add that to some sweet and sour.. it's probably very similar.

It really wasn't that great. Hope the rest of the season is better - this episode was lacking in jokes and felt hastily written.

Going to watch it a 3rd time just to be sure I'm not crazy and this wasn't all that funny.

First season is still the best IMO.

The first episode of season 2 had the same issue of lacking in jokes and relying on meta content, but got much better in the back half of the 2nd season. Don't try to deny that first one kinda sucked (multi dimension many-screen episode that used gimmicks to get through poorly planned writing.)

This episode, s3e1 suffers from the same 'trying to do too much' syndrome s2e1 had which simply doesn't allow for as many funny moments when the writers are trying to tie up their sloppy plotlines.

Loved it. Especially the after-credits scene, obviously... I am doing pre-planning to see how well I could cosplay that.

There might have been story enough for three episodes in this one but I don't mind.

I feel like season 2 was more about character development than trying to fit in as many jokes as possible. While season 1 is probably better overall Auto Erotic Assimilation from season 2 is probably my favorite episode.

A Rickle in Time wasn't a great episode, I'd agree with you on that.

The laziest way is probably to just add rooster sauce + grinded szechuan pepper corns to  mcdonald's sweet and sour.

Un-fvckenbelievable
  >:( .

A Master-Chef wannabe wants to show everyone how to make it, waste of time heebo, none of us are interested here.

Far cheaper and quicker to buy the ancient Mulan sauce off Flebay and enjoy the taste - of course be prepared to hug your toilet for the night  ;D .

I saw on another forum that ... there is a subtle reference to Breaking Bad in the episode.
You won't be able to spot it if you haven't been following that show.

Because this is a spoiler-free thread, I'll not say what it is. You will have to look for it yourself.

I'm really bad at spotting the references in shows, even with it referencing it's self from it's earlier seasons.

PM a hint?  ;)

In Rick's "origin story" memory, he lived in the same house as Walter White in Breaking Bad.
