The new optical switches have no hysteresis/debounce and therefore the input lag is basically nothing. Also the Xmit hall effect keyboards have no hysteresis/debounce. I will vouch for increased gaming performance with the hall effect keyboard, even if I can't physically feel the lack of input lag, and it is not placebo. However, I don't know if a cherry red switch wouldn't do the same thing.
