Or you could start encouraging people from GeekHack to post and share at Reddit, being nice and cross posting interesting stuff from here.
Making a closed circle sub at Reddit I doubt will win hearts and minds, only further the opinion that GeekHack is a closed circle community with rules that stretches outside the forum.
I however dont see why both can coexist and have different agendas/target audiences. Think its fair to say that Reddit is more of a stepping stone, an introductory place for mechanical keyboard enthusiast while GeekHack is more of a high level of knowledge and experience.
As far as circle jerk goes I dont see much of a difference, both places have an abundance of it and would be more enjoyable if it didnt have a "us vs them" mentality. I would also suggest that thinking people having to agree with Ripster isnt healthy. Its not really true but that mentality is manifested due to the nature of Reddit, sadly I dont think that need/want/mentality is any stronger there than here.
I know Im part of the issue and will avoid furthering the negative aspects of GeekHack. Even if I enjoy a good pie throwing contest I can see how it lessens the experience of new users and has to be kept in check with out limiting users from expressing different opinions, like if the Clacks really are worth what they are worth and still having room to discus different views on subjective opinion. Like worth, attractiveness, craftsmanship and what the ultimate keyboard should be
That's all I have to say

We need to get ripster to STFU and all problems are solved
