Super hot sauces that are actually sauces are something I crave :p

super hot sauces that are novelty items with just hotness and no flavor are good for a joke and not really good for food.

Hot sauces should have a flavor that compliments whatever you are eating, IMO.
Hot sauces being hot for the sake of being hot are...junk.

Habanero, ghost pepper, chile de Arbol, some Indian pepper

I've tried most. Was it fun or tasty? No. But having a Mexican Tongue I do enjoy a moderate amount of spicy flavoring on all my food. Hot sauces aren't all about the heat, it's all in the savory spicy kick they add to our meal.

I have Piri Piri based sauces quite regularly as well as Tabasco. Have a bottle of ghost pepper sauce sitting as well, that thing is hot!

@appleonama, the Indian pepper was probably ghost pepper (Bhut jaloka)

Bingo! The really hot stuff is just a novelty or to cook with in extreme moderation. In my experience, .5-1 scotch bonnet or habanero is enough to add a ton of heat to a large batch of chili but I've never made enough food to warrant a savina or jolokia.

About a decade ago a friend offered to buy me dinner if I ate a Savina. I did, and it was a rough 2 days. It was like I was peeing fire. Not worth.

Well the guy I was posting about seems like hes cutting back his operation by like 70% so...

I wanted to but didn't. I like hot ones with good flaaaaavorrrrssss

Most hotsauces that are hot hot don't taste good, except Pexpeppers.com . Made with fruit, honey, viniger, and chilies.

If your looking for decent heat + flavor to those nooby to spice, id suggest HornetBOMB Honey Habanero Hot Sauce. Haven't tried it but I know for a fact it wont be too too hot and it should taste great. Its his signature.

I'm getting there. I'll try more Habanero sauces to be certain but sometimes I want more heat you know? Maybe the sauces I tried are easy on the pepper ratio. This is just me trying random stuff at relative's houses, so I've barely scratched the surface.

I'm sure the kidneys are working overtime but if a pepper is hot enough it's still going to wreck your "liquid tube" & digestive tract.

Nando's is good, they have a good variety but Andiccio24 's sauce is on another level, it has this homemade kind of thing going for it.

I went to a hot sauce festival last summer in Long Beach. It was a ton of fun, and there were some really amazing hot sauces there. In fact, I found my new favorite from a local company in SoCal called Infinity Sauces. Their Tri-Haba-Saurus Rex is outstanding. Definitely not hot for the sake of being hot, as it has a ton of wonderful flavor, but most certainly very hot.

As for absolutely ridiculous and over the top? Did that there, too. Ed Currie, from Puckerbutt, brought his hybrid pepper called the Carolina Reaper. It's currently the hottest pepper in the world: A ghost pepper is around 1,000,000 on the Scoville scale; The Reaper has been tested at 2,200,000, with the average being around 1,600,000. I tasted the Reaper Sauce, which was pretty insane. It also had a lot of flavor to it, but just absurd levels of heat. Then there was the Reaper Squeezins sauce, which was more of a hot just to be hot sauce. That **** was ridiculous.

But I was drunk, and stupid, and... long story short, I got convinced to eat just two small pieces of a Carolina Reaper.

Definitely one of the worst decisions of my life.

After tasting what little EU offers I think that Sriracha is king.
There are plenty of sauces out there that are just stupidly hot, doesn't even go well with food because it's just hot and nothing else, no real taste in it.
