Most, if not all backlit are ABS.

Keycool, Noppoo and KBT all make smaller tkl keyboards like you want.

Noppoo, I believe uses PBT. KBT uses ABS keycaps, and I would imagine Keycool does as well, as both are backlit.

All the boards Leslieann listed use Cherry MX switch. The KBT Race have non backlight version with PBT available, and the Noppoo Choc mini use PBT but only on the white version, the dark version use POM.
If you mean Cherry literally, only 'white' color models in the G84 with ML switch and G86 with rubberdomes lines would meet that description. Cherry never made any such board with MX besides the G80-5000 that even comes close.

On some of the models yes they do have PBT keycaps.  Like These

I always forget about deck... I even owned a TG3 once. Yes, they also have pbt key, but I did not like them at all or the board for that matter. If you like it though I would reccomend to look for TG3 Data911 model instead. It's the same thing but has better font and can often be had used on ebay for $30 or less sometimes.

Just buy the Quick Fire Rapid in whatever switch you want. and a separate PBT keycap set from geek feng on ebay, or from Qtan's vandio store.

That is literally the BEST choice for beginners..

There are NO better options.. There's no more research you need to do.
