I heard Tofu was bad for you because of the something something- estrogen...
Many of soy’s health benefits have been linked to isoflavones—plant compounds that mimic estrogen. But animal studies suggest that eating large amounts of those estrogenic compounds might reduce fertility in women, trigger premature puberty and disrupt development of fetuses and children.

sounds like the farm raised salmon issue, where mercury is high cuz these farm raised salmon are being fed their own mercury laced brothers and sisters, it could be the type of soy that is the issue, i mean soy beans are grown with monsonto stuff right? so that may be the case. either way at least 1billion ppl consume soy every other day in the east and aside from sumo wrestlers, asians are the pillar of health, i mean heck it's still sad but my grandma passed away this year and she was 106, and that was due to a fall and a bad hip, who knows how much longer she could have had in china.
Asians are NOT the pillar of health.. They're not obese like Americans, but you'd be ignorant if you think they were at all healthy.... The amount of "frying" and "salt" the general asian population eats is maddening.

aborigines are..
China specifically has extremely POOR health.. It is however "under-reported" as the population is too large to keep reliable statistics, and there's the government issue, where they don't care...
China has historically very high rates of diabetes and heart disease. Though I don't think that's cuz of the soy
I reread the Soy report, the only criticism I can see in the report is that the high doses they used in Rats arn't very high doses in a human..
Now, mind you, a HIGH dose for a Human IS CERTAINLY POSSIBLE in today's diet,, and can be inadvertently done to one self.
