Filed papers for a UK immigration visa. Usually I wake up at eleven, but now it's only 10:30 and I have already accomplished something!
Good luck. I just finally got a work permit for Canada and that was the biggest uphill fight I have ever been in. What's taking you to the UK?
You don't need a work permit for working the corner in canada
Weekends only. Normal desk job during the week.
Also... you don't write, you don't call. Why don't you love me no more!?

Thank you. I've been living in one country for too many years eventually getting bored and thinking about something new, and then, all of a sudden, Boom! Crimea! Sanctions! Recession! Rouble is kill! SUDDENLY job offer! So I'm going there to steal a jerb. Also I wouldn't mind having a EEA member passport. UK by itself isn't very appealing to me.
Also might I ask, why did you move to Canada?
I have been dating a young lady in Canada for a while now and we wanted to be in one place. She was heartily opposed to living in the US (especially where I was) and I have always wanted to try living somewhere else. Canada, honestly, isn't all that different from the US. Healthcare is a bit different (obviously), ketchup is considerably worse here, but otherwise it's all basically the same. Everything is more expensive and they pretend to use the metric system.
Sorry. (still getting used to saying that after everything)
Again, best of luck getting there! It's exciting/terrifying/fun moving to another country. By the way, one of my friends who left for the Netherlands a few years ago sent me a link going over the four stages of living abroad:
http://www.overseas-exile.com/2013/03/the-four-stages-of-expat-life.htmlI've honestly kind of been through this since I've been back and forth to Canada a LOT over the last few years (and lived here off and on a bit), so it's nothing too shocking to me, but it's real. I did go through a bit of this in very abbreviated ways. Good to at least be aware of.
