Took a mouse pad to the paint shop for Cerakote.
nice, have you ironed out any of the problems with the pads yet? if not i'd be willing to test out new models for you.
I did get some rest plates with the C series, which is the high temp air cure. I had 3 done, one in a basic black, one in micro slick (designed specifically for reduced friction for engine parts) and one as a 50/50 mix.results were not good enough for me to market.
The last H series one I did has been in circulation for 6 to 7 months now, on a mouse with ceramic skates. He told me the other day that there is no signs of wear.
Though I do still need to get a piece of UHMW officially tested. This material has 90% of the same properties as Teflon™, but at a third the price. I do have one piece that is 11.5"x12.5", but not cut square, very rough cut with a Skil saw. The top is also scratched to hell and there is virtually no was to polish it. This stuff has 15 times the abrasion resistance of carbon steel.
I would be willing to send it to you for testing for the cost of shipping, though Monday will be my last chance to get it shipped until the 17th due to work.
