here's the thing..  5 years ago, I'd agree with you... torrent was vastly less convenient...

But TODAY...   cheaper drives + faster internet..    You can download so many shows overnight... that it's impossible to finish watching all of them that day...

even at my paltry connection speed of 10.5Megabyte/s   that's 463 Gigabyte overnight (12 hours)

average HD show 1080p quality is 1 GB..   that's 463 Episodes which could be downloaded..

Also.. now that they have very good RSS feed.. you just signup and the new show is ready for you, and you don't have to even click anything..

Not to mention that a lot of clients will let you start watching before it's done.   :thumb:

Plus, I always like to be prepared for those times when I won't have internet.  I haven't had internet for the past week or so, but that's not a problem.  I've got loads of TV shows and movies I can watch.  Couldn't say the same if I always relied on Netflix.

Or Fringe to an extent. I wish a new series resembling x-files or fringe would start.

Yup... also since i'm paying insane prices for the tv package anyway..  WHY should I stick to their schedule... torrents is the only way I can make them work for me...

This season of Boardwalk Empire is hilarious. You can tell they were just like, "cancel us will ya? Well we'll just kill every single character off before we go out!"
Spoiler: everybody dies
