Happy so far, slight problem if anyone can help. With this case the fans are plugged into the case not the motherboard, this means every time I turn on the PC i get a message warning me there are no fans connected (Even though they are) and I have to press F1 to boot, this is only a minor pain in the arse, anyone know how I can turn this off/stop it popping up?
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

Can't you jumper the fan headers on the motherboard so it thinks there is a fan?

Or perhaps in the BIOS you can tell it to not check for fans.

I have a Corsair 500R and that **** looks dope in arctic white. Tons of cooling and room for even more fans if you want, easy access side panels, plus all the cords get tucked behind the left wall and keeps them out of the way. I would defiantly recommend it.

Even the CPU fans?  That sounds like a bad idea to me.

Is there an option in your bios to turn off the checking?  I don't have any fans plugged into the motherboard in my case--all connected to a Bitfenix Recon fan controller.  What motherboard are you using (brand / model)?

So the case has a fan controller?  If so it probably has a 4 pin molex connector somewhere that it uses to give power to the connected fans, my guess is that isn't plugged in.

Just checked that, it is plugged in. Dropping by a friend with a voltmeter tomorrow. Otherwise it must be the switch, i hope not.

Make sure the CPU fan is plugged into the proper spot, that should stop it from complaining. IF it monitors others and has a warning, then there will be a way to disable it, but not all boards can disable the cpu fan warning. I wouldn't jumper anything though, that could lead to a burnt board.

As to why the rest are not spinning, unplug them all and reconnect them. Temp fluctuations, corrosion and vibration can make them lose contact. Even if they look connected, unplug and replug them.

Thanks for your help everyone, I found out what it was, the Fan Controller wasn't connected :3

Can I just say, love this case to bits, It's bloody huge, if you have the space grab it with 2 hands!

First case I've had which allows for decent cable management!

Also (thanks again leslieann) I'm just going to purchase another fan at some point and hook that into the motherboard, but I don't mind pressing 1 button too much.

What I would like to do in the future is upgrade my graphics card (currently a 6870) to something which is better (so vague I know) another 1tb hard drive, a reasonable SSD, and that's pretty much it.

A SSD is 100% needed imo, makes everything so much faster.

No but it does enable you to get your programs that you write in to load a lot faster ;)

Every application you start, starts faster.  Large document loads and saves are hugely faster.

Game level loads are much faster.

I'd like an SSD, but I still don't fully trust the technology, plus the pain to upgrade the HDD in a Mac mini is not worth it to do every year or two.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

In terms of trust, I find SSDs to be far more trustworthy than spinning disks because SSDs have an interesting feature: When they eventually die due to the "limited writes" nature of SSDs, they will just go into read-only mode and all of your data is easily retrievable.

It reminds me of that Mitch Hedburg joke about escalators: they never go out of order, they just turn into stairs. :)

Also the failure rates of SSDs are lower than those of spinning disks by a factor of ten, especially if you're using an Intel SSD.

So true.  I have at least 8 SSD's and they are all working beautifully,  hence no need to worry about complete disintegration of the memory disk just yet.  Although I do have a two year old Sandforce still working.

But yes the Intel ones are real choice, due to regular firmware updates provided from the Mothership.

2 minutes a day over your whole life?

That's a lotta minutes.. divide that into $90 for a 128gb samsung 830

and it is likely well beyond 2 minutes

That looks amazing. That window is perfect. The only thing I don't like about the cube form factor is that they take up more horizontal space. Generally vertical space doesn't matter, so the cube actually will take up more space on a desk than the standard form factor.

If you are okay with that, I'd have to recommend this case OP.

My cooler Master HAF XB of course.
Best case if you want everything to be ergonomic.
Motherboard flat and on top (almost an open tech case if you leave it open).
I have it sideways (motherboard facing forward) so that I can place it in my desk.
Regular price $100 (did a search and Cooler Master has it for $50!):

Coolermaster HAF 9XX series is awesome.

Great cable management and airflow options. Lots of mount points for drives in places they get cooled by the airflow, etc.. And personally I really like the look of it, too.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

They've had double-wide cases for a long time.  I bought one, missing a lot of bits and pieces, from a swap meet for $20 in like 2002.  It had eight 5.25" bays, a 3.5" cage with 4 bays or so, another with 2 bays for external devices, and terrible cooling.  There was loads of cooling on the drive side, but the only fan mount for exhaust near the motherboard was either 60 or 80mm; I eventually cut a 120mm blowhole in the top for that.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147053 I used this one for my rig. Huge with lots of airflow, goes on sale for $100 sometimes. Cool fins at the top make it look scaley (I just got some NZXT LED strips that I think will look gorgeous ran through the top) I definitely recommend.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146093 I used this one for my brother's rig. I like the style more but it may not have the amount of airflow you're seeking.
