I actually have issues with browns while FPS gaming in games where you have to hold down the "w" key all the time like Borderlands 2. It makes my hand hurt. I think they are fine other wise. I have started to use blues which I thought had slightly more resistance to bottom out but they certainly don't make my hand hurt to hold them down.

I had the same problem with browns, blues, reds, and Topres. Blacks and Clears didn't, so I'm pretty sure it has to do with the lightness of the spring.

My end solution was just getting Carpel Tunnel surgery (not a joke). This solved all my problems I can't believe I waited almost 10 years to get this done. I was up and typing the next day (Really slow but still) and I can finally play video games again! Best $18k I ever spent. :)

Yikes!  Pretty drastic solution, but glad it worked out for you :)

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

It isn't really that crazy. I thought it was too but you basically find out that all they do is slice something that serves no purpose in your hand no removal or anything. Its a tiny little perfectly straight line that heals in a like two days. You literally can't even tell I had surgery and its only been like 2 months. The carpel tunnel ligament is like the appendix of your hand. :)

You can use any switch to game. It's just personal preference. There's no switch was built to be "optimized for gaming".

Can we write this somewhere on the forum in a very big font, possibly in bright red?

SWITCH TYPE IS A PERSONAL PREFERENCE

BLUES/OTHER SWITCH WILL NOT INHIBIT YOUR GAMING ABILITIES VS BLACKS/OTHER SWITCH

DON'T ASK IF YOU SHOULD GET REDS OR TOPRE

TRY THEM AND DECIDE WHICH ONE YOU LIKE MORE

REDS WON'T MAKE YOU TYPE MUCH SLOWER THAN ANY OTHER SWITCH

IF YOU LIKE THE FEEL, GO FOR IT

Which episode is my avatar from?

The one where the one girls brother is like the royal guard and he is marrying her childhood babysitter but she is really an evil something else or whatever and it all ends happy in the end. I could probably give you a detailed play by play but I don't want to look too weird.

I've only seen that episode like half a dozen times.

Logitech I think puts o-rings under the key caps for sound dampening similar to the ones from WASD. in my opinion they only feel alright with linear switches but with tactile like brown it changes the feel too much.

I put O-rings on a couple of keys on my Ducky with MX blues.  It did damped the bottom-out sound a bit, but not the click.

This was in response to domestic complaints received when I was repeatedly clicking a couple of keys in the wee hours while checking emails.

What is o-rings?

Small rubber or silicone rings that you put around the stems of the keycaps to dampen the bottoming-out sound.

Thank you sir for the explanation, I know what they are, I was behaving out of order last night, and thus the random post(s) around the forum.
