Saw this on ebay! OOOOOOO!
Again another wonderful Korean product!

For $319 shipped, it looks truly awesome! This is probably very close to an ideal Cherry MX production keyboard.
(Admittedly, for the same amount of money I'd rather get a Model F and two great mice).

Considering how many Korean members of GH there are, let's hear from you guys whether this company has a good reputation...

Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Is this the only keyboard with RGB LEDs and Cherry MX switches? I can't recall any others that can controllably switch between red, green, and blue lighting all on the same key...

looks like 3mm LEDs on most keys and 5mm RGB LEDs on some clusters. the Cherry MX body does NOT fit 5mm LEDs so those RGB ones are likely separate and in-between switches.

OR, it could be those two-way type 3mm LEDs which produce Green/Red (see the new Rosewill board). but definitely not 5mm mounted in MX.

I think it's probably a combination of these two. If you look closely at a picture of the LEDs:

...the ones on the keys that do all three colors are larger, and seem to have their leads routed next to rather than through the switch. The other keys still need to be able to switch between blue and green, and could be the "two-way" LEDs.

Would be neat if someone did a custom keyboard design with all RGB by this method.

I just took a much closer look at the photos.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what you're getting for $320. JUST the backing portion with the LCD and shuttle wheel. No keyboard. It would NOT surprise me if that's the case. I could easily see hitting $200 in manufacturing costs for that alone.

Usually, "LETIS" refers to the keyboard and the back device together.

"E2TIS" refers to just the keyboard.

"MEIS" refers to just the back device.

As it says in the ad, LETIS = E2TIS + MEIS.

The same seller has MEIS available here, for $115.60, and E2TIS here, for $200.60. You do get a better deal when you buy both together. Note that the current prices are sale prices (15% off).

Ah.. that part of the ad didn't load for me for some reason. (Been having issues courtesy my incompetent ISP.)

Might be worth putting together a GB for MEIS sidecars to convert to Ducky and Filco frames? ;)

Arrow key fail. Designers don't understand ergonomics. Inverse-T is good for index/middle/ring fingers, because middle finger is longer - placing it's neutral position right in-between Up and Down arrow. Don't mess with it!

I would also not make the keyboard wider on the right side ...
