Seriously. I got a new router and this stupid thing will not connect to it. I want to throw it out the window. I've been trying to get this to work for over an hour. There are very few things that will truly make me lose my patience quickly. Working on a printer is one of them.

Seriously. I got a new router and this stupid thing will not connect to it. I want to throw it out the window. I've been trying to get this to work for over an hour. There are very few things that will truly make me lose my patience quickly. Working on a printer is one of them.

Printers are the worst, especially those that are wireless but connect to the Internet at home. Do they even make wireless printers that don't connect via Internet?
It's a Canon, and it never worked. Always got disconnected and our print jobs wouldn't go through. We've had to print stuff using the ol' USB cable; I've taken a picture of it and will put it up on Craigslist for free. Not even worth the hassle of trying to get a few bucks off of it.

Low ink when you put a brand new $5000 cartridge in, paper jams, random erros, the list just goes on and on and on. Then you have ridiculous ink prices, and it just sounds like some sort of fiendish torture device when paired with the other things...

Legit! I needed new toner, and Staples was trying to sell it to me for $100. Yah, okay, how about you take that toner and go screw yourself. The printer didn't cost that much. I got off brand on Amazon for like $12. Ink is even worse. Good lord, don't get me started on ink.

Sales departments are the worst. The second you don't do exactly what they ask for they start throwing around how the company won't run with out Sales and how they bring in the money and this is revenue impacting and blah, blah, ****ing blah. They are also the most technically inept department which makes it even more frustrating.

Sorry Sales guys. I love you, but your department sucks for IT people.

In general, I agree with you. But I had to print out a shipping label ASAP, and just getting the label created was a pain in the ass. International shipping is not my friend. It was insult to injury that the damn thing then wouldn't print. I ended up giving up on the wireless config and just went wired. I'll try again tonight.

When I started working were I am now I was responsible for on site printer support (among other things). We had this one copier up in Marketing, which was located in another building from where my "workspace" was. They would break that thing like 5 times a day. It was the most frustrating thing. They would constantly load the paper wrong, jam the thing up, once someone tried to fix it and took it all apart and then just walked away. We were constantly asking who was doing these things, because it after a while it seemed like it was on purpose. But no one would fess up. We posted signs about how to use it. Not to touch it. How to load paper and none of it did any good. I was very happy when I moved away from supporting the printers. I legit think there was someone that just enjoyed me schlepping up there, on the floor for an hour in my heels covered in toner and paper cuts.

I get to act as the unofficial IT person at my office, mainly because I am the youngest male here and no one else wants to do it.  Because of that, I end up fixing computers, monitors, scanners, printers etc. all the time which I don't really mind during the off season because it gives me work to do, but here we are in the middle of tax season and I just spent 2 1/2 of the 3 hours I blocked out to catch up on the ~20 tax returns I have outstanding working on  fixing printers and scanners. 

Printers are definitely the worst, but scanners are steadily climbing the ladder of Most Hated Elecctronic Device here at the office.
