Every kitchen knife I own is garbage I have either found, or ones previous owners or tenants left behind.
Except for the 3 Zwilling knives that carried me through cooking school. 1 chefs knife, 1 small santoku for chopping veggies, and 1 bread knife.
I had to get the chefs knife replaced when the tip broke off, but that was after nearly 12 years of usage and Zwilling honored their lifetime guarantee.
Although I constantly remind myself I need a few good steak knives every time I eat a steak and wind up using my diving knife to cut it.
You have a diving knife??? But why???

I'm a certified SDI diver, I just haven't been in about 13 years. It never expires though.

I have had exactly 3 knives over the last 4 years. A 10" chefs knife for most thing, a small paring knife for cutting little things and trimming, and a serrated 12" knife. I have not found myself in a situation where one of those 3 knifes wasn't able to do the job. Shout out Victorinox for making affordable knives that don't suck.

Which browser

I kept coming back to Firefox, and have stayed there permanently for 5-10 years now.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.

I just moved to Firefox. Transferred all bookmarks, passwords etc.
Even got my extensions here too.

As soon as I killed Chrome, my cpu fan stopped reving, cpu and ram usage dropped and I have quiet PC again :)

I think it was some kind of update on Chrme that made it so unbareble.

Plus I like how Firefox displays fonts differently than Chrome.

ublock and noscript don't work properly on Chrome,  there's really no reason to use chrome except if you want websites to work.

And that's the important take-away, the truth is, we don't need most websites to work, because we don't need most websites.

That is why Firefox is more than adequate, it blocks ads, and breaks alot, if not most websites, GOOD.

Welp. Tp4 is scrood. Now there's scientific proof.

___Article

In this case, participants were shown realistic dating profiles that varied systematically in traits like physical attractiveness, intelligence, job, height, biography text, and how similar the person was to the viewer in terms of height, intelligence, and attractiveness. By observing which profiles were selected over others, the researchers could estimate how much each trait mattered, independently of the others.

The study included 445 heterosexual and bisexual dating app users in Germany, aged 18 to 35, evenly split between men and women. Participants were recruited through a mobile survey platform called Appinio. After answering some background questions about themselves, participants were shown 12 different swiping scenarios. Each scenario presented them with three dating profiles at once, and they could choose to match with one or skip them all. The profiles showed a face-and-torso photo, height, job, an IQ score, and a short biography. All these features were randomly mixed across profiles, allowing the researchers to disentangle their effects on selection decisions.

In total, the team analyzed 5,340 decisions. The clearest result was that physical attractiveness had a massive effect on whether someone got selected. Improving a person’s attractiveness rating by one standard deviation (roughly moving from average to noticeably above average) increased the odds of being chosen by about 20 percent.

In contrast, the same improvement in intelligence raised selection odds by just 2 percent. Biography attractiveness had a similarly small impact, and height and job had even smaller effects. While these traits did matter statistically, their influence was seven to twenty times smaller than that of physical appearance.

Surprisingly, men and women did not differ in how much weight they gave these traits. While some theories suggest that men prioritize looks more and women care more about intelligence or occupation, this study found that both genders showed nearly identical patterns in their matching decisions. Even height, which is often believed to affect men and women differently, had a small but positive effect for both groups. The researchers had expected some differences—such as women placing more value on job status—but found no support for those assumptions.

Go to settings -> privacy & security and check which level you have there. With anything above Standard, sites may break.

Even that may not fix everything, most FF users have a secondary browser for this reason. Personally, it's rare that it breaks and most broken stuff isn't worth seeing. Chrome also breaks, more often in fact thanks to how Google handles updates and testing and such but for most it's just less obvious.

Some of this has to do with FF's enhanced privacy compared to Chrome, some has to do with poor internet standards and lazy developers not testing on anything other than Chrome. Regardless, it can be blamed on allowing Chrome to become so dominant. The same thing happened when we allowed Internet Explorer to destroy the competition as well, the internet got geared towards one browser, broke the others and then once they had total control Microsoft simply stopped innovating it and the whole internet stagnated. For a while it was common to see "this site was designed for ___ browser" and some sites should go back to doing so, some actually do and it's almosta lways Chrome they want*.  The same will happen again if we allow Google or any other company so much control. You can already see this happening at the company, what has Google done lately?

*Again this often goes back to lazy developers, but in a few cases they claim it's because they tailored security around Chromes features. While I'd argue that's B.S., they do, but they also love that extra level of spying build into Chrome. You get more info from Google analytics and Chrome than you do from Firefox. Also easier to bake in 3rd party ads and security. Chrome was/is built for one reason, and that is data, yes it may have some extra security features but while you and companies may benefit some from it, they're actually built for Google and most is actually there to keep you locked into Chrome, not keep you safe.

One example is captcha, not sure if they do this anymore but it was a thing for a while were they would subjected you captcha and fail it more often on FF than Chrome. This is because Google lets far more slide for Chrome users as a tactic to punish people who left Chrome for FF. The idea is/was the user will get annoyed with it all the time,  blame FF and go back to Chrome. It also does weird things when restoring backups and such and skips security checks. Some of this is how Youtubers were getting their channels hacked.

Yes. This is 100% a FF issue, you can open the same page in Chrome and watch it load perfectly. It has nothing to do with security settings or ad blockers, just how FF is.

As much as I hate FF, it still works better than any other choice.

This is why Tp4 never goes outside, if we never go outside, we can't die in a submarine. Why do people even want to go in this, it only goes down 25 meters.

Which sites break for you if you don't mind me asking?

For example Voigtlander site, cannot scroll down to see all lens.

hmm that is a clean site too - no trackers, pop-ups, or hidden elements I can spot
Seems to be purely a FF functionality issue, it seems to work on my end. The images populate after the site has loaded and once you scroll down.

works now. You know what I had to do? I had to clear cookies and accept all again - for some reason pop-up window with coockies query wasn't displaying correctly, went all up and could not pick the answers and that is why couldn't scroll down the page and see lens etc

Same thing happened with Flickr - it went dark, like greyd out, could not click on anything, there was nothing on screen to do. Then when re-installed ff, it came up with cookies query and then worked.

Another thing that can happen is that unlike Chrome it doesn't auto update and the certification database can expire and when it does FF will act funny. I couldn't order my dinner last night until I updated FF.

Getting very annoyed w/ YouTube lately. An extremely stupid bug that adjusts the volume slider embedded in YT video windows to change depending on your window scaling. So every time I minimize or move my browser window, YT decides to lower the volume because the slider bar has to adjust to the new window location and size for some ****ing reason. Unfathomably stupid design and code.

Snow White and the 7 Samurai.

It's a B-movie spin, low budget, plot is simple.

Cinematography, Gud'Enuff..

This was much easier to watch than the New Disney live action,  part of that is, Expectations, but importantly none of the characters looked outright creepy.

The cast did alright, you can tell they don't have the budget for peak-air-brushing, so the women look a bit dry / wrinkly across most scenes.

Main lead is , OK, but the looking dry issue is pretty stark here, because the snow white base material requires a more youthful looking actor.

Not a good movie, but an enough movie.

Murder 17 children and teachers in cold blood = Life in prison
Kill 1 billionaire for a cause = Death

Making Luigi a martyr is one of the stupidest things the DOJ can do in this current climate. Remember Guy Fawkes masks? I've already seen people selling Luigi masks. Imagine a CEO coming across a tide of people in Luigi masks. Pure terror.

Martyr/example, it depends on perspective, but I do agree with you.

It's much harder to convict on a death sentence (the jury is less likely to convict knowing the end result) and considering public sentiment already, they may be setting themselves up to fail. While I won't be surprised if there is misconduct on the part of cops and prosecutors as well as jury tampering by outsiders I can also see him walking free only to be disappeared or fall out of a window shortly after.

Theoretically, locking him up like Nelson Mandela is the only way they can minimize the "near term" problems.

But Civil-unrest isn't BECAUSE of him,  he merely represents the Tipping point,  the wave-Cresting.

Our socio-economic system is in ruin, it fails to respect the Laws of common sense/decency, it fails to respect the LAWS OF NATURE. Look to nature,  Nature solves problems by sending father-death.

Death isn't gunning for JUST rich people,  Death comes for us all, we are ALL judged fairly.

If we do not rectify the primacy of the problem, ANIMAL AGRICULTURE,  Nature will reboot and put Turkey people in power, Monkey people had their shot.

One could argue that's because we already have trade bans and such against them, same with North Korea and a few others also not on there.

But also, it's suspected that the list was A.I. generated, hence tariffs against an island that is almost entirely populated by penguins.

"The confidence game doesn’t begin with a lie. It begins with a story—one so emotionally resonant it feels like truth. It offers meaning, identifies villains, flatters the audience, and—when fully deployed—quietly opens the vault.
Donald Trump’s political rise is not just a break from convention. It’s a textbook long con. Not in the casual sense of dishonesty, but in the classic structure: the Big Lie, the emotional hook, the moving target, the victim narrative, and finally, the identity trap—where the mark can no longer afford to walk away because belief has become inseparable from self.
The script is familiar. Whether in a Ponzi scheme, a shell company, or a populist campaign, the pattern is the same. The conman begins not with evidence but with a narrative. Trump’s version is always some variation on a central myth: America has been betrayed, the system is rigged, and only he can fix it. The villains rotate—immigrants, globalists, bureaucrats, journalists—but the goal is constant: create clarity through division, and turn grievance into identity.
The genius of this narrative lies not in its truth, but in its simplicity. It sells not just an outcome, but a self-image. You’re not just supporting a candidate. You’re seeing through the lies. You’re part of the resistance. To believe is to belong. To doubt is to defect.
This is the first move of the long con: the Big Lie. Not just a falsehood, but a worldview. “The election was stolen.” “The deep state is after me because I’m fighting for you.” These aren’t claims to debate. They’re loyalty tests. And the price of failing them is exile from the story you’ve been promised.
And the mark? The mark is not foolish. The mark is angry, disillusioned, and tired of being told to trust institutions that no longer deliver. Trump didn’t invent that despair—he capitalized on it. He gave it direction. He gave it enemies. And he offered himself as both weapon and refuge.
Once belief takes hold, facts become noise. The con fuses politics with identity, and identity with moral survival. Doubting Trump means doubting yourself. And so the mark invests more, not less.
But a con doesn’t pay off. So the grifter keeps moving the goalposts. The wall? Still coming. The swamp? Still draining. The deep state? Still lurking. Every failure becomes proof of sabotage. Every delay, evidence of how powerful the enemy must be. The promise is always just out of reach—and that’s the point.
And when reality intervenes—when courts reject his claims, when fraud is exposed, when indictments land—Trump doesn’t retreat. He adapts. Exposure becomes persecution. Accountability becomes martyrdom. The scam becomes sacred.
This is the fatal turn in the long con: when truth no longer matters. When reality is no longer shared. What remains is not democracy but spectacle—a theater of grievance, rage, and blind loyalty.
We’ve seen this before.
Mussolini cast himself as a savior while dismantling Italy’s institutions. Berlusconi blurred corruption with charisma, laundering scandal through media control. Ferdinand Marcos used crisis to seize power and enrich allies. Joseph McCarthy waved blank papers and claimed they named traitors. Each man sold lies as loyalty, and each hollowed out public trust from within.
And there may be another layer to this performance: a financial con wrapped inside the political one. The chaos isn’t incidental. It may be the plan.
In times of upheaval, those closest to power often find ways to turn disruption into wealth. Trump’s erratic tariff wars, billed as economic nationalism, upended markets, collapsed sectors, and triggered retaliatory shocks. But while farmers went bankrupt and consumers paid more, the market opened space for those with foresight—or insider access—to buy low and consolidate.
Geographer David Harvey calls this accumulation by dispossession: crisis used not to correct the system, but to extract from it. Devalue public assets. Destabilize protections. Create just enough chaos to buy cheap what others are forced to abandon. It’s not just policy failure—it’s extraction dressed as populism.
The con isn’t just psychological. It’s material. It’s not just about being lied to—it’s about being looted.
And that’s what makes this moment different—and more dangerous. The scam isn’t happening outside the system. It’s running through it. Congress, the courts, and the press are not just targets. They’re props. The goal isn’t to fix government. It’s to turn it into a shell—one that can still collect taxes, enforce laws, and declare wars, but no longer serve the people who fund it.
The stakes are no longer just political. They’re existential. Can we still agree on what happened? On what’s real?
Because here’s the brutal truth about every confidence game: it doesn’t end when the lie is exposed. It ends only when the mark walks away. And that is the hardest part—because it requires admitting not just that you were lied to, but that you believed it. That what felt like belonging was, in fact, betrayal.
But if that reckoning doesn’t come—if the spell isn’t broken—the damage won’t stop at the believer’s door. This isn’t just a private illusion. This is a public unraveling. A national hollowing-out of trust, truth, and democracy itself.
And so we must hope—urgently and without illusion—that those caught in the story come to see what it is. That they see the man behind the curtain, the sleight of hand, the fantasy sold as fate.
Because if they don’t, this story won’t end with the emperor having no clothes.
It will end with all of us—every institution, every safeguard, every principle—stripped bare. Not just humiliated, but exposed. Not just misled, but fleeced.
If the con holds, we don’t just lose our shirts.
We lose the republic."

How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Mm... OK, but democrats do the same thing..

They're every bit as exploitative/imperialist as any other that came before.

Something more basic than BLAME is at fault here.

The core goal, defining characteristics of mankind is at wits end. The laws of the ecosystem, will not allow us to continue ANY-Government as is.

Trump may be somewhat dangerous, but it is equally dangerous to believe his Opponent is any better when they've in your citation, FLEECED the populace in identical capitalist/imperialist domains.

Man, I miss when your ratio for inflammatory trolling was not so obvious and you kept it relegated to you own microcosm of interests. It's like you don't even try anymore.
