The eye patch made you look too much like a pirate.

I'm working late (again) and I needed help from the design group. I call the guy who is supposed to be covering. Turns out he was at home and I made him go to the office. I'm an ******* and it's bothering me a lot. Had no idea he'd be at home :(

I haven't had a call for an interview since November. Man, driving to all kinds of places just to be rejected is not awesome.

I believe the whole Chipotle thing is over now, i think they are safe to eat.

Chipotle is a great company with high standards. I will not hesitate to go there, I love the place. Too bad I don't go more often.

Yeah, I like the food there too. I really should go more often.

Huh? Get it in a bowl instead of a burrito and get beans instead of rice. Hard to resist the chips, though.

+1

Bowl also gets you more stuff and you can get a tortilla on the side for no charge. I usually go no rice and no chips but sometimes I can't resist the chips. They're way too good.

I came home from a conference for teachers to find out that my home had been broken into and burglarized while I was away =/

It looks like insurance won't cover much/anything either.

Well that sucks lollipops. Why won't insurance cover you?

I don't have receipts for some of the really expensive items, like my second hand camera lenses =/

They basically took away most my non-keyboard hobbies.  I am officially out of the photography game, and magic the gathering with the losses

Where did you buy your second-hand lenses from, and what did you pay with? It may be possible to get some receipts.

For the ones you paid with PayPal you can track down receipts/invoices through PayPal. Really sucks that happened to you though. As Steezus suggested, keep an eye on Craigslist and check local pawn shops to see if your stuff pops.

I wish you the best of luck.

Plot twist - he was going for a job as an entertainer at a kids party venue with a sort of nautical theme.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

My wife was taught how to open drawers when she was a child.... yet they neglected to teach her how to close them. Probably  70% of the drawers in my house are left pulled out after she has gone through looking for something. I am considering just removing the drawers and throwing them into the backyard but I think that may titter on the line of psychological DV so we wont go down that path just yet.

I don't see why it is that difficult to push the thing back in once you have finished rummaging. Trust me, sometimes I think I am married to a child (but she would probably say the same thing about me).

Gah

So I ordered something from ebay and from a UK seller the only postage option they gave me was 2nd class royal mail, as I would usually pay the bit extra for tracking but okay that's the only option, I give it 2 weeks and still don't get said item and drop them a nice message just saying I have yet to get it, just to keep the seller updated on it they respond with I can give you proof of postage, uhh thats cool but no use to me when I don't have the item, so anyway I give it another week as 2nd class is slow but I opened up a case a few days ago saying look I still haven't gotten it can I get the item, or my money back.

Fast forward to today they respond with "Have you got the item yet? If you send me your email I can send you proof of postage?" What am I supposed to do with that I can't claim for the item as it wasn't tracked royal mail states you can't claim for a none tracked item, and as far as I am its not my responsibility, not technically the sellers as well but I'm not faffing around claiming for it, this is actually making me angry and I know its not the sellers fault RM lost it but its not my fault I never got it just hope ebay don't favor the seller this time as he didn't send it with any tracking and I will have no prospect of compensation at all.

Ohh and to top this off I ordered a PSTV sent via Hermes tracked and hermes have lost it, FML I just want to punch someone and I know I shouldn't but gosh dam is this annoying

Back when I was buying vinyl record collections and selling the good finds on Ebay I would print all shipping labels myself, then send it out. I don't know how it is done in the UK, and the way the seller keeps bringing up receipt for postage sounds shifty to me. Good luck with the refund process, that stinks.

When I got into custom keyboards last year I went gung-ho on artisans. My thought was to get as many as I can to complement keysets. The trouble now is that I've focused too much on artisans that I don't have decent keysets to pair them with.

Seems I'm gonna have to take a break and focus on lovely cap sets.

What keysets did you have in mind? Fortunately they're a bit easier to acquire than artisans.

Keysets > Artisans imo

My wife was taught how to open drawers when she was a child.... yet they neglected to teach her how to close them.

My wife opens drawers, turns on all electrical appliances, and never cleans up after herself. My kids follow in her footsteps no matter what I say.

My wife leaves clothes and papers all over the house, and then complains when I clean it up because she can't find them.

This.... would bother me. That would be frustrating

How about a keyset of artisans?  :D

I am bothered by the fact that I just now discovered I can drag down this "post reply" box.  :(

As it stands, I won't have enough for GMK Monkey and the enjoyPBT sets I wish to acquire. So, I will have to list a few artisans for sale. Not anything big, but it will help me get the sets I want and thin the artisan collection.
It's gonna be real tough to choose which...  :'(

Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Not a chance. I'm actually at work so I've got to drop the car off at the garage then get the train home. Then get the bus to and from work tomorrow/Thursday if it's not fixed.

I think it might be my engine mount perishing, causing my car to shake quite violently at low revs, and jolt a lot between lower gear changes.

lol yeah it's just that the battery was dead. Nothing to do with Subaru. Fanboi status remains intact.
If you have some reasons for me to stay away from Subaru I would love to 'hear' those reasons.

Subscribe to /r/subaru. The cult status those idiots have is enough to never own anything Subaru. They swear these cars are gods gift to vehicles.

tfw you're subscribed to /r/subaru  :'(

btw to anyone confused, I'm not actually subaru fanboi, I just really like my car.  :)  I also like other cars.

Proud /r/Subaru subscriber.

Crosstrek best car ever.

I have two outstanding orders from two different sellers. I contacted one through PayPal but the other is way past the 180 days so I'm just going to email him. And I'm not alone in that they have yet to ship to alot of other people.

Ah damn :(

At least it's 1 bus ride though (can GH on bus), could be a lot worse :)

Well, two bus rides. Adds like 45 minutes to my journey. And get a train from the garage home tomorrow morning in rush hour... I really didn't have money for this this month... FML.

I make a purchase on eBay, find out after sending payment that it's going to the wrong address so I immediately request to cancel. I get an email 3 days later that they won't cancel my request and then sends me tracking the following day. >:D

Why didn't you just ask to change the address?

Because it was the wrong card that I wanted charged as well, it was my father's card and not mine.
