My friend decided that wearing a facemask to work was a good idea. Like one of those ones people in China walk through the street in on news reports.

She said it's to "subvert people's expectations that they are going to see my face. Plus I have a slight cough so I'm being considerate".

What the ****.

What's so wrong with that?

She's not doing it for any reason other than to be "edgy" or "different". Like, why would you choose to wear a facemask? Ever? If you had the choice between not wearing one, and wearing one, why would you wear one?

She also thinks she's super cool taking prescription medication for no reason other than to take it.

Wearing one makes sense if you're near alot of people.. like on the bus, or in a crowded assembly on the streets..

Medical facemasks do not prevent transmission of disease to you tp, they prevent transmission of aerosolized germs from you.  They are completely pointless unless you are sick and coughing and/or sneezing.

What's bothering me currently is the amount of money I used to have that is now tied up in keyboards and keyboard parts that have yet to ship I imagine this is a common feeling on this board.

It definitely isn't. She grinds up codeine and dilutes it and drinks it every day for no reason. She takes clinical research drugs recreationally on the weekend. It's not for any purpose.

horrible morning.... Not only was this morning person extra annoying she also downed a liter container of coffee. She got worse every minute... some people should not be allowed to consume caffeinated drinks.

Always best to focus on <1% of the people rather than on issues such as income inequality and global warming that might effect the world a bit more.

While I don't disagree that there are large issues that affect a great deal of the population, discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, gender status, etc should really never be tolerated. If a person happens to be trans they have just as many rights as any of the rest of us and protecting those rights is important. They don't deserve hate for just being who they are. They are just people, same as me.

I feel very strongly about this issue, and equal rights in general.
