Emo never left.

There is nothing comforting about being a massive letdown, Waateva.  :|

Come on, you just gotta stand under the hoop and throw the orange ball through it when they pass it to you.

Starting to have neck pains like I did last year.

Fairly certain it's mostly stress related.

So, cleaning this canopy. Water accumulated at the top. My genius ass goes to poke it so it all falls.

And it all fell.

Examples?

Saves The Day, Dashboard Confessional, and Jimmy Eat World were the ones I looked up.  I was also kind of into metal at the time but more screamo and metalcore, so maybe my musical tastes have just changed drastically since then.

Gotcha, gotcha.  That's the era of "emo" that I'm not a fan of.  Can't help you there.  :P  I also have trouble listening to some of the stuff I listened to back in middle/high school.  :))

My emo girlfriend and I would listen to Dashboard Confessional and Saves The Day while riding around in my car smoking cigarettes because we were part of the "bad kids" at my Christian school.  Oh man, good times...

I remember when I had jury duty. When they asked if we had any statements to make about any biases we might have I told them the truth. My particular jury pool was for a fender bender in which one party was claiming "emotional trauma," or some stupidity like that.

I told the judge and lawyers that I felt that was incredibly childish and ridiculous, and just another stupid way for people to rob each other. Lost wages, cost of repairs, stuff like that is tangible and can be quantified to a dollar amount. "My feelings are hurt and I want money because I got into a crash" is so damn ridiculous a total waste of time for just about everyone involved (except the lawyers, who get to shuffle money around, contribute nothing of importance, and take a huge cut of the jumbled-up cash amount).

After I gave my brief explanation the judge asked if anyone else felt that way (even though no one had spoken up before) and most raised their hands. I was not called to serve as a juror on that case.

Yea, if you are bias, they don't really want you

I mean, it's illegal to lie to seem bias and get out of it, but you know...that's a way of getting out

I just postponed mine and then I wasn't called in. So I got lucky

Luckily this wasn't one I had to lie about. My dad is strongly opinionated on this and I've sort of adopted that as well. XD

If it had been for something that wasn't so freakin' ridiculous I probably would have stayed quiet.

Yea. I feel the same way about it.

Some **** like that happened when I was younger. Long story short:
Got the side of my neck cut open buy someone on a bus. Could have pressed charges for "emotion damage" and ****, but why? I went and got stitches and that was that. Never would I want to take advantage of a situation like that.

Life, I just want a break. The past two weeks have been hectic. I have jury duty right now and I feel like this is going to take forever.

Why didn't you postpone it?

I did three times.

Is there a limit?
If not. I'd just push it off endlessly

I like you 10/10

How about with rice?

But yeah, the best thing to do in the juror pool is just be brutally honest. Even if you pretend to be biased some lawyers may pick you specifically for that reason.

My Granite set came in today and it has the twisting people have been complaining about, and now that I've seen it I can't unsee it.  I'll probably just use it until my EnjoyPBT sets come in and sell it anyways, I really just wanted to try DSA profile.

When Granite R2 came in I had some warped caps like everyone else.  SP was pretty great about replacing them.

Sorry to steal the thunder, but don't suppose you happen to have Icon RGB(YO) with which to part?

Well, I was in the second round and apparently their were tons of problems in the first round so it looks like they filtered down to the second round too.  That said, I don't have any (noticeable) warping and the twisting is only noticeable on some of the keys so I might not even bother asking for replacements.  I'll probably use them for another day or two and see if I really care that much, but what is the typical procedure for getting replacements?  Do I open a ticket with Massdrop who relays it to SP, who then requests me to send them back or what?

I actually did get the Icon RGB(YO) kit, but it is probably the most noticeable of all the keys in regards to twisting.  I also ordered the standard Icon kit, so I might be willing to let these ones go.

Yep, you'll want to go through Massdrop.  It might take some time but you should get a resolution.

I didn't even know of the twisting. I laid all my caps out last night and didn't notice any defects. I have four different packs that I ordered, and all seemed fine.

So lucky, I guess.

Cool thanks, I'll let them know if I decide to send them back for replacements.

Definitely lucky, the discussion going on over at Massdrop is filled with people talking about twisting and warping.  I was hoping that since I was in the second round maybe SP has sorted the issues out, but it doesn't appear so.

Just got out.
That was the worst experience ever and it wasn't the courts fault. I actually found it very interesting and the process our justice system has to go through, but dear God choosing Juror's is hell. An interesting experience was ruined by brain dead civilians who could not form a concise opinion. Holy **** I've never cringed harder in my life.
