Anchovies are the best part of the pizza.

I mean, I disagree.  they are freaking terrible

They are even worse when everyone in the shop has designated you the anchovy guy. That said, small enough slivers add a really good umami flavor to a pizza with a few other toppings.

So I had to get new headlights for my jeep because of the while hitting Bambi and they came today but don't have the bulbs.

The photo shows bulbs and most of the reviews everyone mentions getting bulbs with them.

Why can't anything be easy.

Nah, its just size they are out of the can will make anything way too salty.

Fresh out of the can or jar they are wonderful, if you can get past the salt. Unfortunately, many times they will open a can and then keep it in the refrigerator for days with only plastic wrap on top, and the "off" flavors develop due to oxidation.

Anchovy paste is great for cooking because a small squirt of it adds an elusive complex enhancement that is hard to put your finger on. However, to keep it fresh, since it is in a tube that will be opened and closed, it is even more salty than the fillets.

For some reason Geekhack is feeling odd to me nowadays.


A lot of people that where here when I joined aren't posting at all anymore.


I don't know, geekhack has been feeling really inactive as of late. I feel like when I joined there where ten things happening every week, tons of threads and active conversation. Excitement around every corner.


Now it seems like everything has slowed down. People who I feel like are the heart and soul of the community have either slowed down posting or have stopped.
