It is not a good time to be a Washington Redksins fan... Or a Capitals fan...
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Looks like my video card may actually be dying.  Thought it was BF1 only at first, but tried Insurgency and I started getting flickering grey screen.  It could be overheating, but I'm not seeing any obscene temps.  It might be worth trying to put new TIM and reseat the heatsink.

Really didn't want to be spending more money.

I get 4-5 hours of sleep Sun-Thur night and 6-7 (maybe 8+ if the kids sleep in) Fri and Sat nights.

Occasionally I'll slip in a 6-7 hour night during the week.

If you change the oil yourself then you don't have to deal with their timings.

but do you have to get your car serviced there also to get said free oil change? or when you buy the car is it sold at a less negotiable price so that the cost is essentaully paid up front? there has to be some catch. I doubt a buisness would just change your oil for free for life without you actually paying 9ne way or the other

The oil change isn't very costly if done at the industrial scale that they're doing it at..

And they're assuming you may get other servicing done there over time.

So they must've done the calculation that a high enough percentage of people would get that done to cover the cost.

Overall.. it's an attractive proposition, and it keeps people coming back..

I don't think it influences cost that much, because of how much oil and filters they'd be buying in bulk..

They're not giving you the oem filters,  they're giving out generics.

either way its not free, its like in Australia they were (maybe still do) have 1% interest finance options. Sounds like a really good deal but the initial cost of the car pretty much fixed so you end up paying very close to the asking price and all the bull**** costs like dumb ass delivery fees and ****. So in the end its not really a good deal and if your not careful can work out to be more expensive than regular finance.

I knew a guy who worked in a parts place and for certain OEM spares, they just re-boxed generic parts into OEM boxes.

I would seriously think that the free oil change would be done during the course of a service, thus the labour costs would be eaten, id be ****ing checking what oil they are putting in there and marking the filters to ensure its actually being changed.

One of our fleet supervisors had to do this years ago because she got sus that the dealership was not doing what she asked. One vehicle went in for a wheel rotation, oil change and some other ****. She marked the inner wall of the tyres and the filter. When she went to pick up the car, she checked the marks and nothing had been done. Dealership obviously thought because they were fleet vehicles that no one would give a ****. Well she pretty much called them out on it in front of a bunch of people dropping off their cars, would have been pretty embarrassing for them.

Hrrrm.. gotta make sure to mark up the filter next time.

Same as tyre pressure, every time I get new tyres put on first thing I do is check the pressure the next morning. Without fail the tyre place will have filled it to the tyres max spec and not the vehicle spec. So I put them back to vehicle spec. But like last 5 sets of tyres they have done this, not all the same place either.

The more I deal with people in the vehicle services industry, the less I trust them. Not to say I know more then them because I certainly don't, I just know that their 16 year old first year apprentice is mainly thinking about if he will get laid this friday as opposed to actually tightening my oil cap up again after filling it.

Or the ****ing battery guy that put car batteries in one of work Fuso buses.

My internet speed has been down to 50% for the last 3 days. Called the support yesterday, they tried but it didn't work, they told me they call me back today morning, I called them at 6pm because I didn't get a call from them, and I waited 15 minutes to have the worst, entitled ***** on the other end.
Her:"We can connect you to a technician who will run you through your router settings, but that will cost money"
Me:"My router settings are fine, they were fine when everything worked and I didn't change them since, I even checked them myself yesterday and everything was okay"
Her: (basically) "Yeah, that's what they all tell us"
Me:"Excuse me?"
Her:"Do you want to get help with your router settings now?"
Me:"Do whatever is necessary, but I won't pay for anything that I know won't help me"
Her:"Well, that's all I can offer you, bye"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I have to pay when they **** something up? It worked fine, and I didn't change anything... who would it have been? ****ing Santa?

My dog died on the 24th, one of my cats ran away on the 28th (still not back, even Pet Trailers can't find anything outside of our property) and now this ****? What the **** is going on right now?

My dog died on the 24th, one of my cat's ran away on the 28th (still not back, even Pet Trailers can't find anything outside of our property) and now this ****? What the **** is going on right now?

Well.. if you were asian and religious, when so many of these things happen all at once, you'd go to a taoist to disenchant the negative energy surrounding you and your household..

hahahaha..

Thanks, cancer is a ***** :(

Now I'm getting the feeling that someone stole my cat and that he didn't leave voluntarily.... It's all speculation though.
Pls come back

Yeah, it's not one of those ordinary cats that are all over the place. It's a British Short Hair in a really rare color that shouldn't have existed in the first place. Which is also the reason he wasn't allowed to go wherever he wants, our backyard is surrounded by a "cat fence", so they can't get out unless someone opens the door or there is a hole in the fence. We have a tunnel going there from our house, so they were able to go out whenever they wanted.

Also, animal adoption agencies (or things equivalent to that) don't give them out for free here, the adoption fee isn't insanely high though.

Well, yes, but they are friends with my parents. We even got the mother of the now missing cat from them, so I highly doubt that they are involved

Confirmed. tp does not like furry irl creatures. Probably allergies. Needs further investigation.
