Not to downplay your diligence..
but.. every female character convo I've ever had, eventually becomes, yea she's totally hot, did you see her in that other show, with that skimpy outfit..
and Ever male character convo I've ever had, became, dude, I can't believe how lucky he is to sex that female-character, btw did you see her in that other show, with that skimpy outfit..
No offense taken, because I too have fallen prey to talking about how hot a celebrity is.
That said, my friends and I ALSO discuss the ins and outs of a show (both within the show itself and also the production of the show), and even when the character being discussed is female, we do tend to keep a professional tone to the conversation.
A good example is Marvel's Agents of SHIELD...
Yes, we discuss how hot Chloe Bennett (Skye) looked wearing that dress and coming out of the pool. Yes, we are amazed at how Ming-Na Wen (Melinda May) looks to be in her late twenties or early thirties, but is actually fifty years old. Yes, we talk about how adorably cute Elizabeth Henstridge (Simmons) is and how her in-show costumery hides what an amazing body she has.
However, we also discuss topics relevant to the show, such as how May got the nickname The Cavalry, what exactly Skye is, or how Simmons is rapidly becoming the Willow Rosenberg of the show.
