Tapatalk showed the liero screenshot together with the OGs text saying it was on steam. I peed a little before realizing.

+1 to Liero

But also, sorry Transport Tycoon will always > RCT if you include the community reverse engineered version and mods

I must go with one of the games Ive spent the most time beside World Of Warcraft:

One of my first favorites:

Honorable mentions goes to OOT and FF7 OFC

It shouldn't have taken so long for me to find D2:LoD in this thread.  While D2:LoD is probably my favorite game ever, D3 definitely takes the cake for the most disappointing game at launch for me as well.

Super Smash Bros. Melee is probably the best game ever made.

My favorite game, however, is Super Metroid.

For me it might have to be Mario Kart 64. That game has ruined friendships and made many of them stronger.

Nobody has said Heroes of Might and Magic 3? Is this a geek site or not a geek site?
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Worst thing was that the skill ceiling was low as ****. Won some of the first BCL events with my team, so we kept top 2 in the world until the game got abandoned.

omg zombinis?  I loved that game!

It was one of the only games that was loaded on the school computers when I was single digits old and of course it was only on certain computers. The struggle was real, it was like hunger games every computer class to get one with Zombinies

Games that were "genre-changers", either creating them or (re)defining genres. These games were built with so much passion an originality that modern AAA-titles can difficult beat them for me. Including:

- command and conquer (before EA, the dos versions)
- wolf3d, doom, duke 3d
- simcity
- need for speed (1 and 2, and perhaps 3)
- starcraft, warcraft 1+2+3

Why is grim fandango so good?

it's really not.. the art was interesting,

same with ..  psychonaut   ..  visually rich,  but overall,  it's just okkk as a game.

The music, humor and sarcasm in grim was also quite good. And for the time, graphics were really good if I remember correctly. Like the Queen game.

Earth Orbit Stations

There are a lot of building sim games out there- and ones that deal with space.  But none like this one.  My favorite thing about EOS in the market.  It has a fully modeled financial simulation built in, and you have to watch the news and trends in order to know how the market is going to react, in order to get the funds to finance your space exploration.  I stayed up saying one more turn for more nights than I care to admit, and still play it today.  I wish someone would do a full remake.

Some good images

Play it as abandonware

I expected to see something about Warhammer Online.

PS WAAAGH!
Trivia: Warhammer Online is the best game ever made.
