I need a new keyboard.
« on: Sat, 26 September 2015, 08:26:25 »
The current keyboard I have is quite bad for typing, razer deathstalker (i know i know i fell for the marketing trap) I like wrist rests and I would like a keyboard that fits this criteria
- 65-90 grams of force to actuate
-feel of a membrane but more sturdiness and less mushyness
-can fit lots of 3rd party wrist wrests or keyboard holders (that have built in wrist wrests with the keyboard holder)
-good grippy feet

Are you SURE about 65-90g?

You won't get more of a "sturdy membrane" feel unless you try out a 55g Realforce. Built like a tank and you can just get a custom wrist wrest for it.
My wife I a also push her button . But now she have her button push by a different men. So I buy a keyboard a mechanicale, she a reliable like a Fiat.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it. BTW FROM NOW ON anyone reading this thread I changed my mind to at least 55g because i just considered the feeling of MX reds.

(just finished looking at some reviews and sound tests) It looks, sounds and feels awesome since I pulled out some old cheap chinese keyboards out of my closet that are about 45-50 grams actuation weight and the realforce probably feels better too, I'm def gonna try it out, thanks dude.

No problem!

55g Realforce is very tactile, satisfying sound, solid. Don't even think of comparing activation weight to equivalent weight of a 55g MX switch. Apples and oranges.

^^ both these guys are newbs...

The switches don't matter whatsoever,   It's all about the layout, the split,  and the Tenting...
