Just watched Miniature Wife, Dramedy.

It's like Honey I shrunk the kids, but the wife got shrunk, + dysfunctional marriage.

Fairly competent story telling, the actors got heart. They all performed admirably and gave it the right amount of ham.

Solid 1 season show for nightly biscuits and bourbon.

The Q2 2026 anime season is on.  An incredible number of new series have started almost all at once.
The only one that I'm really looking forward to see more of though is: Witch Hat Atelier: A girl makes a spell from a magic book, makes a mess and gets to become a magicians apprentice. Beautiful fairy tale.

For the longest time, Tp4 thought The Princess Diaries and The Princess Bride were the same movie.

Rewatching The Office.
It really isn't worth watching past season 7. After Michael leaves, it is all downhill.
There are a handful of standout episodes in season 8, but season 9 is trash.

Andy is by far the worst character on the show(imo). Such a selfish, idiotic, kiss ass, man-baby piece of ****.
I mean, there are characters I don't like but are played well, like Nelly and Robert California, but Andy is just such a ****ing piece of ****.
He is right up there with Peggy Hill as one of my least liked television characters of all-time.

Also, I feel like they messed up with RC's arc. Instead of 'normalizing' him and just exposing him as a sex freak, they should've leaned into his weirdness and mystique a la Creed Bratton.

The Last Viking.

That is pretty good movie, so messed up at times that you just keep watching it without a blink of an eye :)

I feel like the golden age of modern movie cgi was between 2010 and 2018
beginning with Inception, and ending with Endgame

prior to that '00s cgi was jankey, and today's cgi is ai slop
2010-2018 was the sweet spot

What movies would you recommend for best CGI from that period?
Apart from Inception.

The irony is, we attempt to teach young people the value of life and that animals are innocent, sentient beings deserving of respect.

Yet, the animal agricultural industry for-profit-murder 80 Billion animals for meat, that are toxic to humans, which are biological-herbivores.

The same night some young family might watch "Wild Robot", they dine on the corpses of innocent animals pre-murdered behind tall slaughter house walls.

This is the greatest Ignorance of the modern era..

Project Hail Mary, it's alrite, lacked depth, but that may be mostly a function of time limit.

If they made a tv show, would've been much more interesting.

Been getting through the final season of The Boys
Much better than season 4, and I love Soldier Boy

I'm not gay, but if I WERE, Jensen Ackles would probably do it for me

I realize it is a political parody, but that Democratic National Church Of America hit too close to home(lander) in our current climate

The new mortal kombat,  welllll..

It's not the Worst mortal kombat movie.  But plot wise, it barely clings to B-tier.

I've been watching Mr. Inbetween.
An Australian show about a sociopath murder-for-hire. The show tries very hard to make you identify or sympathize with his home life. He's divorced, has a disabled brother, a daughter, a gf.
I find it difficult to empathize with Ray at all, despite the decent writing. He just seems like a murdering sociopath "with a heart"
It is a good show, extremely entertaining in that vigilante takes revenge on the worst of society type of way. The acting is fantastic, there's character progression, and you really start to root for Ray killing all the ****bags. Very Dexter.
So far as I've watched, I feel like s02e04 is a standout episode. Just great, even on it's own.

here's a clip from s01 spoilers, but it'll make you wanna watch the show
I should say, this is a HEAVILY EDITED clip, and you are missing all the connecting tissue, but it's still good right?  Yeah.

No, that is not good.

The majority of modern Television is solving ALL PROBLEMS with GUNS.

We live in a MURDER glorification society. Almost all entertainment are murder simulators.

The torture nexus is so pervasive, that we now have shows so we can EMPATHIZE with murderers, they are heroes.

Jesus said, you've turned my father's house into a Den of murder (most original translation).  He was referring to the church's primary money-business of butchering animals at the alter for blessing.

Jesus's brother James was a devote vegetarian/vegan.  You see the connection.

They conveniently wrote this entire plot out of the modern text AFTER murdering jesus over it.

Indeed. The problem with violence in fiction is not the violence itself but which values are associated with it.
Some shows and movies make me sick, because they don't seem to value human life.

And I don't mean over-the-top violence like John Wick, Gunpowder Milkshake, Bullet Train and Hardcore Henry: those have stylistic violence in fantasy worlds, like in video games.
I'm talking about when the show/media is making a pretence that it the real world.

The real world is FAR worse.

Gen0 (ides are board approved, primary world doctrine of western countries.

Not only do we kill people,

we gen0(ide needlessly 80 BILLION animals per year.  No one speaks for them.

Remember, Jesus said,  this bread is my body, this wine is my blood,   REFERRING to WHAT ?   You don't need the Lamb, spare the innocent living animals..
