Ham isn't that salty... From what I have experienced, try getting different ham?

Even if you don't taste "salt" if you look on the back that sodium amount is usually pretty wild

I have a fear of making pork chops,  I am terrified that it might come out too dry or too raw (giving me trichinosis)

I like grilled ham. It wasn't salty at all. But it didn't come from the store either.

I put it in my pasta recipe.. or bacon depending on the mood I am in. In dutch, we call it "hamblokjes" or "baconreepjes".. "ham squares" or "bacon slices".

I've read and seen on them cooking shows that in the good ol' USA it is pretty safe to eat a lil under-done farm-raised pork.

Don't be scared to pork chop. Or dig a huge ****ing pit in your yard, make a giant fire, let it burn down to coals, drop a big ol' oinker in the bottom and bury it. Must drink ****ty beer the ENTIRE time it cooks, though.

roast beef is good..  but not always....  sometimes it's just too dry..  ham is almost always solid.

Where are you getting you deli meat from? Sounds like you should stop going there if they have bad ham and dry roast beef.

Real ham is country ham.

What places like the Cracker Barrel restaurant sell as "country ham" is just the common crap city version.

Real country ham (not found north of the Mason-Dixon line) is vaguely like prosciutto but far better.
Citizens United violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president.
So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over.”

I've had game ham only once but it was flippin' delicious. Light brown raw, dark brown (almost the color of roast beef!) after it was cooked
