Three Years Here
« on: Tue, 23 May 2017, 14:57:06 »
I've spent entirely too much so far, but I love the community too much to leave. I have made some great friends and met some really wonderful people here.

Thanks for three years and looking forward to many more!  :thumb:

Doesn't feel like it. I too spent way to much before I settled on the HHKB. Though these keyboard hats can get expensive too.

It's going pretty well. Trying to get my TEFL while home for the summer which is pretty fun (or incredibly boring depending on the lesson).

Wow, that is impressive, and damn good colour coordination, haha.

TEFL = Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I wanna go to Japan and teach English for a few years after college, so I figured it would be a useful thing to have.

Yeah, its quite apparent now! :)) :))

I've gone through many hobbies in my lifetime. While keyboards isn't up there in terms of my hobbies, the community is definitely one of the most interactive and friendliest. Even if I find my "endgame" and quit future keeb stuff, I'll still stick around.

I definitely haven't been through as many hobbies as you but I do have to agree that this community is great and I definitely plan on staying for a while.

Man, I wish I didn't have this obsessive attitude where I'm insanely into a hobby for a few months/years and then just get bored one day and drop it all together. My time on here was ****in awesome and there are loads of great people on this site. I'd love to come back here sometime and just chat and hang out around the forums. Maybe sometime soon.

sorry for taking over your thread lol. Congrats wasting three years of your life on some dumb keyboards  :p

I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. I'm still a noob - I seem to have joined around the time Clacks became popular, and just after most of the founding members disappeared.

Most of us have come to our senses and/or run out of money ;)
I ain't there yet.
Well as far as spending goes I'm probably done for the month. But I certainly haven't come to my senses yet. :D

A little of #1 and a lot of #2

+1 and +2 :))

Although I haven't reached the stage of selling everything off yet.

Am a n00b still, so sell your stuff to me before I arrive at stage 1 and 2! =D

Would love to see your collection, tho!

Happy anniversary :)

Looks like I'm coming up for 5 years soon

Thanks rowdy! That is a big milestone though man!

I'm still a noob - I seem to have joined around the time Clacks became popular, and just after most of the founding members disappeared.

5 years is still a lot man.

Wow! You guys are veterans. I can only imagine how great your collection must be!

Been here for only 6 months, but love the community!

Haha thanks although I consider myself young compared to some here.

Dude your green collection alone is just amazing!

Has it ever really stopped growing?
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

I mean there are times where there are no sales with green caps.

It's amazing you survive such difficult times  :))

I'm in the same place you are but pink & purple are my color addictions.

That's how my 3yr went last month, I don't think I even checked GH on the day of. It doesn't feel like it's been that long but looking back through my post history it feels like ages ago.
