Soup Heat
« on: Thu, 31 January 2019, 09:36:36 »
So, you make the soup, and it's done.

Can't eat it, because it's too hot..

We wait for it to reach the operational temperature.

Procedure start.   Yet, Half way into the bowl,  the soup Cools BELOW optimal temp.

What an impossible situation this morning has been.

Would 2 bowls help? Or make it worse?

Tp4 current solution:

Place soup into warm water tub while in operation to reduce DTemp/DT

The solution to ultra hot soup is to make garlic toast to dip into it while waiting for it to cool a little. :thumb:

But this does not compensate for the Mid-Soup 2kewl dilemma..

Microwave halfway through, or else only ladle out half a bowl at a time and go back for 2nds and 3rds.
From the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8 :

The Congress shall have Power

To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

Are you heating it in the microwave, because that only happens if you heat it in a microwave.

Very easy solution: heat it on the stove-top, stirring occasionally. Not only does this allow even and controlled temperatures, but gives you a chance to enhance the dish with spices and other ingredients. Remember, you aren't cooking the soup. It is already cooked. You are only heating it up, there's no reason to bring it anywhere near a boil for that.

Or you could serve the soup cold and eat it with a thermal spoon. Have a thermal adjustment setting that heats the spoon to your desired temp(so obviously you would need to preheat the spoon before eating,) maybe a silicon coating to keep it from burning your mouth. When the spoon detects the temperature change of having the cooler liquid it will adjust allowing the shallow pool to be perfectly heated in seconds. Realistically it would only take about 5-7 seconds to heat each tablespoon which is already about the same amount of time it takes to lift it to your mouth and blow a couple times.

I have an eco-friendly and economic solution that not only will heat your soup to the perfect temperature every time, but also cost nothing in energy resources.

Simply fill a prophylactic with your favorite type of soup or stew, freeze it until preferably slushy and not completely frozen, insert as a suppository, then wait for your meal to heat to your exact body temperature. Remove your meal, cut open the hermetically sealed container, serve and enjoy!
Understandably this technique is not for everyone, and some initial discomfort may be apparent. But for anyone who is a true connoisseur and eco-pioneer will clearly see the benefits of in vivo sous vide.

I'll take my Nobel Prize whenever you're ready Nobel Committee.

Eat from the sides, not the middle. Maximises heat loss for eatable soup, yet maximises heat retention for soup you eat later.

Alos, depend on topical cooling, not general heat loss.
