how BAD youtube bitrate is,

They have to accommodate the 20-year-old laptop on a farm with a dial-up connection ....

20 year old laptops should be able to decode 3-7MB/s video streams at 1080p.

Dial-up DSL can pipe it, Dial-up 56k, no.

I found out a couple of months ago that DDR5 RAM price was through the roof, but has NAND PCIe skyrocketed now, too?

Cleaned up 8bitdoo contro.

Feels gud, lubricated spring and loop. Krytox triggr. Made plastic washers to tighten tolerance out of packaging material.

AMD 9950x3d2

2x 8 Zen5 Core + 2x 3D vcache CCDs.

Now, 200 watt TDP.

A SINGLE 9700x for example can pump 175watt peak with PBO MAXed.

So, Really, if we wanted a MAXED out chip, we need 350 watt.

Which they probably won't allow since 230watt is pretty much the max any one gets on the 9950x.

Limitation is probably due to dissipation limit of the size of the die.

BUT what they can actually do is Reduce the thickness of the IHS or sell it delided to enthusiasts in a max 350watt edition.

You'd probably need a 30mm 3x140 AIOwater to cool it, BUH why not, it's enthusiast.

Really want to get the keychron m5 vertical gaming mouse.

It's got paw3950 sensor + realtek 8762g MCU,  should be around 150 hours

So, it's a fairly power efficient MCU, but not as gud' as if it had the latest nordic nrf54L, 750 hrs.

But 98grams.

Coming from 60g mices, taping 6 quarters to it, it does feel quite heavy, for direction changes. There's really alot of momentum in +40g.

OMG,,, Budget Work laptops have gotten Soooooo Gimpped.

They don't even solder to a flat heatspreader-plate now, it's just Straight up the pipe,  Not milled, nothing, just a rough, uneven surface.

Truly disgusting. You can barely call it flat. The photo is of the bottom part, that touches the cores.

When did they start doing this?? This is from a dell pro14 14250. Cheap laptop, but still, this is yikes.

In real world, if you drop this laptop hard enough, you can crush the pipe such that the fluid doesn't even flow properly.

Finally downloaded Pragmata demo everyone's raving about.

It's got good GFX for sure, hair physics++, HDR poor- not so well done, At the moment only the SDR looks put together.
Figured it out, Got to set the HDR config in the menu so it doesn't clip.

Gameplay,  well...  it's Ok, it's more/less a slower paced flat room encounter action game like DevilMayCry.

The RayTracing, welllll, yea it's got nice looking reflections.

GPU requirement, sigh.. Unfortunately Tpoor4 only haz 7900xtx, can only do 70-90fps at 4K, that's playable, but must use FSR to hit 120ish.

At least the FSR4 int8 optiscaler works, so not stuck with fsr3.1

Game streaming service.

People don't understand what they're giving up.

BITRATE.  Max you can theoretically get from a service that Needs to be profitable is maybe 200mbit/s which is 25MB/s

Most services don't even offer this much, you'd be lucky to get 40-100mbit/s, 5-12MB/s.

Whereas,  4K 144hz 10bit, Native output on your pc is at 39.19Gigabit is 4898.75MB/s

That's not remotely the same. the Fidelity loss is ENORMOUS.

Hahahahahaha.  Saw an online comment on Pragmata just now,  "This, games like this is why 1r4nt wants to destroy america".

Kind of headscratch, it's only weird because it's japanese, and you know the japanese, hahahahah
