Girlfriend was using her laptop and when she was done it started making a clicking noise when closing the lid.

Turns out the hinge somehow got ****ed up (no drops, no damage, not even a scratch on the laptop) and was kind of popped out. Couldnt close the lid without making it worse. I called to RMA it and got my # and everything all sorted.
I told them the only way to ship it would be to close the lid so nothing else got messed up during shipping and so the hinge was going to get worse and they said they understood.


Shipped it, they received it and it said they started working on it. I got an invoice just now for the parts and labor, and then now we're here.

They're trying to charge me for the repair when it's their faulty design...
$340 to repair the hinge. wtf...

Obviously fighting this because it's ****ing bull****.

I like them as well. Never had a problem with them.

But apparently the damage done from the hinge popping off isn't covered by the limited warranty, which I understand but shouldn't be an issue because it was their fault it was damaged.

I'm already starting a dispute of their decision, but it's just a bummer I even have to :/

New Nexus should be around October/November time frame. I highly recommend a Nexus over any other android device, due to the experience. At first, the lack of microsd is offputting, but you quickly get over it. You can store just about anything you need in the cloud, and storage sizes have been increasing, so you should have plenty of local storage.

Cloud storage might be nice for some, but I want my music with me at all times and not just when I have a 3/4G signal, which isn't that reliable.
I do like  the idea of the Nexus and it would be my preferred way of doing Android, but 32gb is way too little storage... also I'm kinda getting into the idea of a bigger phone that can do proper actual multi-tasking like the Note.
