Made the mistake of turning my back yard from moss and shrubbery into grass. Now I have to mow the **** every week.

I don't have kids. I don't play horseshoes or chip 'n' putt. The **** was I thinking?

maybe because they don't want people gumming up the call centers with random questions like: "hey you sent me this part, I can't install it so can I send it to you to fix it for me?"

I'm just being an ass, I don't know why they can't.  :P  Probably because they only have one process for receiving and sending parts/computers.  To service individual parts like this is essentially them opening a storefront to "sell" these small components, which they are not equipped to do.  From their standpoint, from an inventory and "tracking" perspective, [whole computer] in and [whole computer] out is easier.  Should they hire a few people, develop/lease some software, and set up what you and presumably many others need?  Maybe.  But they didn't.  -_-  (btw this is all speculatory based on my experience in other industries)

I'm not saying he can't do it. I over simplify most of my explanations, but from my experience the only companies that send out parts are automotive manufacturers of small motor vehicles. The kind of motor vehicles that are not popular enough to have service centers. Plus I imagine that crate shipping just to fix a part would cost a bit more than the price of the fix. Chances are most people buy a vehicle from a place that can service the vehicle that might not even be possible anymore unless you live in a remote area that is 10+ miles from civilization. I've never read or heard of a large electronics company that sends out parts.

IMHO, ASUS would have to provide the customer with a diagram of the laptop with a breakdown of individual parts or assemblies that make up specific parts. In today's crazy competitive tech environment that would be similar to handing the blueprint of a particular product over to the competition.

I am bothered that people have a problem with moobs. Who cares? However... I am puzzled by the swirl... did he go to the tanning salon and put one of those stickers on to keep that part white?

Either way. Whatever their situation is over at ASUS, it's annoying and bothering me that I can't just get some simple rubber feet for the laptop when they shouldn't have even fallen off in the first place

Asus is **** tier support.  Hopefully it gets figured it for you soon instead if getting stuck in Asus support hell.
