I have a co-worker who is "sick" at least once a week, and I really don't know how the management is still letting this **** fly because she is on salary. Then when she does come in, she rolls in usually an hour to two hours late, and sometimes stays later to make it up but not very often. She is supposed to be like the head receptionist, but since she is never here it just means that I end up doing most of her work for her
Slash her tires.
Or have the wife fight her 1v1.
Ah it wouldn't even be close as my wife would beat the **** out of her, but to be fair my wife could probably beat the **** out of me. Wifey is really laid back usually, but if she gets the Jager or whiskey in her, she gets pretty feisty and scrappy which is why I try to avoid those liquors when she is drinking, which isn't often anymore. We're all old now demik, ya know?

How do you know she is "sick" and not sick? And how many paid sick days do you have per year?
Well I think that sometimes she is actually sick, but her refusal to see a doctor when she is actually sick is part of what is so irritating. She told me a couple months back that she was missing a lot of work because of sinus issues and she had tried all these all natural remedies which weren't doing ****, and after 2 months of it she went to do the doctor who gave her some generic antibiotics that had her fixed up in just a couple days. She also misses a lot of work because of stomach issues, which she disclosed to another co-worker is really related to that time of the month, but you can't just not come in for work 1-2 days a month because of that. Plenty of women have issues like that, but you either need to seek some medical help or just deal with it, as bad as it sounds, because frankly she is just abusing the system right now.
For sick days, because I work for a smaller accounting firm we just rolled out an official handbook about paid sicks days, paid vacation days, etc. this year and we are supposed to be allowed 1 a quarter. She obviously is
well over that but no action has been done about it, and since she is salary she has basically gotten 20-30 sick days all paid so far just this year. If she was paid hourly it probably wouldn't be an issue because then she would be paying out of her pocket to stay home, but since she is salary she basically can take vacation days whenever the hell she wants and until the management actually does something I don't see it stopping. I assumed that maybe they were considering her vacation time as her sick days now, but as she is on vacation this whole week and again in a couple months, I guess that is not the case.
It's kinda irritating to me because it just results in more work that is somewhat mundane, but from a a management perspective I would think it would be much more annoying as they are paying her for 40 hours and she usually only does about 25 hours right now. I know some of the management staff is sick of it, but they haven't done much to stop it.
