People who put "I don't know what its worth so I'm gonna put a ridiculously high price because maybe some idiot will buy from me, even though I know exactly what I have and theirs a price check thread" on their sale post.

Ergodox confirmed fad

Hahahahahahha

Ergodox is one of those things.. where Very few people can actually put it to good use..

It's extremely complicated to setup correctly.. Even the majority of current owners are not using it right..

They are going to say the same thing about AI sex robots

Ironically, it was a Romanian articulated lorry (truck) driver, and his wheel is on the left, so he didn't see me when he was pulling onto the motorway in slow moving traffic.

Lucky for me it was incredibly slow speed (<5mph), so the damage is fairly small. I'm not going through insurance because I don't want my premiums to go up, but theres a body shop near me that can do it for 150 which isn't too bad. I just don't want the rain that is now here to get too much under the paintwork and rust the arches.

My car is so ****ing dirty

What they said: "don't leave the chuck key in the lathe"
My interpretation: "don't leave the chuck key in the lathe unattended"
What they meant: "if the key is touching the chuck and it isn't touching your hand, you're ****ed"

Last summer when I was in China doing cnc-stuff..

One of the freshmen students visiting the shop did exactly that.. Left the key in the spindle,  Proceed to press start cycle at 3500 rpm..

The chuck cracked the poly-glass on the shielding..  I was working at a machine about 20 feet away.. But it was so loud , BANG,  I thought someone died... and I was afraid to look...

edit:  no one died,   but Tp4 almost died from a heart attack..

Man Australia is pretty regulated when it comes to training, qualifications, induction and just workplace safety. Somethimes i think why the **** do we have so many rules that cover off on ehat should be basic instinct (self preservation at its core ). Then i read stories like that and it reminds me. For every rule no matter how simple, no matter how insulting to your logical tought processes, has come about because some dip**** has got themselves or someone elae really hurt or dead doing that exact thing.

Eg dont touch the hot water, its hot. Will burn you, need to be careful eventhough your an adult that has delt with a hot water tap probebly every day for past 18 years. But still just remember that tap is hot so srs dont **** with it.

Ugh! Almost every time an item has arrived to me damaged from shipping, its because the seller thinks that using shopping bags for packing is a good idea.

I just got three eBay packages today with no harm. N64 controllers and games. I am a lucky one I guess, never had an eBay shipping issue.

Import taxes on items shipped from the US...

Was hit with another €25,88 in import taxes on a Ramage spacebar that was already €70 or so with shipping.
It kind of takes the fun out of the hobby if I have to add another 25-40% on top of everything.

I'm considering just stepping away from the keyboard game and selling most of my stuff off. :(

I know it's hard but try to cherish those who like to hangout with you. It doesn't really matter how many "friends" you have but rather those who actually care about you and enjoy your company.
Very busy with studies atm.

Most recent item was non-functional Apple IIC, bought to harvest the Amber Alps. Shopping bags for packing, big loose power brick and the case ended up cracked and a few keycaps broke off. Had to get use a drill to get the broken plastic out of the sliders and when I bought replacement caps from another member here, USPS misdelivered my package so I never got them. Anyway, hot-swappable Amber Alps Atreus build is coming up soon!

I respect the community on a certain level for never having gone there as far as I can tell, but dirty artisan caps seem unavoidable to me... And yet, they do not exist. Not a sign of boobie caps or caverns to be found anywhere. Not even a nipple key? You'd have to get a set too.
I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

I respect the community on a certain level for never having gone there as far as I can tell, but dirty artisan caps seem unavoidable to me... And yet, they do not exist. Not a sign of boobie caps or caverns to be found anywhere. Not even a nipple key? You'd have to get a set too.
Everything you've mentioned does exist, just not as many out there as saggy ball caps

Nubs also made a very "cavern" looking cap, no links on me though.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Don't forget, some people are busy in these times and may not message anyone, don't take it as anything else.

Some people are just *******s though.

Good God! Those Boobiecaps are amazingggg!! Hahaha, man, so great. Something oddly classy about their aesthetic too.  :-X :))
I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.
