Feeling a head cold coming on...can't hardly breath through my nose...yuck.... :-\

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, sir.

I had one recently that was combined with hay fever (in summer, too).  Not nice.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Spilled coffee on my keyboard. This is the second time in seven days and the second time in four years. I need to figure out what I'm doing different and stop it. Two times too many :-[

Went to the dentist and had a bunch of minor cavities...also need my wisdom teeth pulled.  Looking at $650-2k.  I guess that's what happens when you had no real dental insurance in grad school.  Merry Christmas.

That sucks. I'd use any excuse to upgrade my PC, unfortunately (fortunately) I have never had a component die on me.

Fullsize steel soundproofed case, radiators, nearly 4 pints of water... would make a big dent but more likely it wouldn't clear the porch and I'd just add a house repair bill to my problems.

Went to dentist because I do have insurance.. went to get my wisdom teeth pulled..  I just got the local anesthetic because I had to drive myself home.

Honestly, I think the reason they always want to sell you full anesthesia is part for money, BUT ALSO, they don't want you to see how god damn easy it is...

All they did, was drill a small lever point,  and pryed it out..   Took all of 2 seconds..

One can easily do this at home...

I'd just get a little drunk, 3-4 shots vodka,  wait 10 minutes for that to sink in..   Then use a pair of pliers..

Not joking..  I still have my top Wisdom teeth, but they're straight and not impacted..   If anything does ever happen to those..     (Assuming I don't have insurance at the time),

I really wouldn't mind DIY..   There's nothing complicated about it whatsoever..   Nothing remotely worth the out of pocket fee.

if a family member is a dentist everything between dentists is free.  the actual materials are very little.

Hahaha..  not saying dentists are bad people..

But there are folks out there without the option under the current coverage system..

Retro video game prices are ****ing mad these days, I miss my hobby :(

I'd given up on collecting further for my Saturn and Super Nintendo a few years ago, but now even systems like PC Engine, Gamecube, and Neo Geo Pocket Color are getting rather absurd.

This was like one of 3 hobbies I had and loved for many years, and it makes me both sad and angry that I am gradually being priced out of something I care about so much in every facet of the hobby. I can't even get people I know to sell me their old unloved games anymore.

It hurts to have something you actually care not for the least of which reasons being reflecting fondly upon your experiences, only to have the memory and love corrupted, memories now tinged with a little bitterness and loathing. I hope one day the jonny-come-lately shelf collectors move on and drop their collections so folks who this isn't some passing fad for can rekindle their waning flames.

I feel you man, I just got heavier into it the last two or three years and yup, damn prices for everything goes up. My sister wanted stuff from N64 cause she remembers it from childhood. I just sucked it up and paid them current prices.

You ever wish you knew fluent Japanese reading/speaking to buy cheaper Japanese versions of almost all games?

IMHO,   the most SIFO person probably isn't SIFO...

Because if you're already Sifo,  you won't dedicate any time in becoming a BETTER Sifo..

Oh yea..  Sherlock is great..    I kind of like Elementary better in some sense, because he's addicted to heroin..

IMHO,  I would like to be addicted to heroin when I get to age 75...   That's pretty much my goal..

Drugs are cool, but god damn, this Sherlock is lame. It just is. It would probably be fine on written media.

The movies are fine! This series though, I cannot care for.

One of my favorite pastimes is watching movies or shows and making fun of them, especially while drinking. My partner is MIA though.

TP, you're my only hope
