My coworker is always texting and I'm having trouble ignoring it. I've already reported it, so its just up to faults in her work showing up as a result for something to be done about it.
She is getting distracted from work so frequently (literally every few minutes) that she has resulted to keeping an ear out for when the owner or I stand up from our seat at which point she hastily puts the phone down and acts like shes been working the whole time. It frustrates the hell out of me because there are always little issues with parts of her work not getting done and here I am, still busting my butt despite being ahead of schedule already.
Meanwhile, she has been pursuing the 500$, company paid, 40hr course and licensing exam I'm already signed up to take in January, despite having been here half the time and not seeming to be committed to the company at all.
Well watch out, cuz if she's intelligent, she's realized that just doing --her work-- isn't going to get her anywhere in life.. And that the person on the other side of the texting is her ticket outta there.. or worse, BECOMING YOUR BOSS..
hahahahahaha
Certainly, just doing enough doesn't take people very far, usually. Lets hope, whoever it is, is her ticket out of here because I'm tired of picking up her slack.
hahahahaha.. when she's ur boss, you'll be doing all the work, while she gets paid more than you to watch you work.. hahahahaha
The slacker's constant distractions are catching up to her..
She saved a taxbill in our system for the wrong property. Calculated tax prorations for a 175K house based on a non-homesteaded taxbill for a 330K house and it wasn't spotted until we were at the closing table going over the figures with our clients. WOOPSIE
Now we have to resubmit the adjusted figures to the buyer's lender for approval and postpone closing..
I am a supervisor..... well technically anyway, in reality I should be the one supervised lol. I have someone who is a serial phoner, I don't tell him off for it though. Instead I just take a photo of him on his phone every time I see him on it during work hours and then show him the screen and start flipping through my photo gallery of him on his phone during work hours. I then make comments like, that's a good one, oh look you on your phone again, surprise surprise your on your phone. I have hundreds of these photos and have been doing it all year so obviously it does not work.
But it makes me giggle and that is all I want..... giggles (I should not be a supervisor).
Next year there would be a phone timeout box as he does not need a phone to do his job, but I am moving to another location for a few years.
