Now what is up with posting pictures?

For quite a while it has been 505 but after multiple "Resend" and "Refresh" they would go through.

Now it seems to be straight-up 403 "Forbidden"

Any new news on this?

You ever think you see your phone screen lighting up in the corner of your eye but instead it is just the reflection off a ceramic drink coaster, or worse yet, a blank white index card laying flat on the table.

I get that when a phone rings - never a good thing. Nobody calls me, my phone rings maybe once a month, but never someone I know.

There were only dial telephones in my life until I was an adult.
Before there were little screens displaying the caller's number (~1980s?) you never knew who was calling you until you picked up.

I was halfway along with my life before I could see who was on the other end of the phone when it rang.

When you were out, you were out and nobody could hunt you down on a phone. You were available under a phone from home, or work. Life was easier, now everyone expects you to pick up your mobile phone anywhere you are.

Is lifting ~75-100lbs overhead commonly possible for women?

Not a bar, rather a, flat rectangular object.

To each their own, I just don't pick up a call if I don't want to.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Four tech executives have been sworn into the US Army.

As Lieutenant Colonels. No boot Camp. No training. Nothing to reinforce that the oath they just took is, you know, AN OATH. As if anyone in this admin cared anyway.

Instead, they'll be ushered in through express training that Army leaders are still hashing out, Col. Dave Butler, a spokesman for the chief of staff of the Army, said in a phone interview with Business Insider.

So the Army is still working out what training they will get, but meanwhile they have rank and presumably pay? And are in the chain of command? They will serve two weeks a year like reservists?

The execs — Shyam Sankar, the chief technology officer of Palantir; Andrew Bosworth, the chief technology officer of Meta; Kevin Weil, the chief product officer at OpenAI; and Bob McGrew, an advisor at Thinking Machines Lab who was formerly the chief research officer for OpenAI — are joining the Army as lieutenant colonels as part of an effort to turbocharge tech innovation and adoption, according to an Army press statement.

That's what Tp4 has been saying all along,  this is an INTERNAL decision to go full on fascist. This is not some fluke.

Democrats = Republicans.

The more you focus on dump, the more you fail to see that the POISON was already systemic. dump is just the fall guy, a shield for the internal imperialist regime.

Doesn't matter who you vote for.

Democrat = War
Republican = War
Bernie Sanders = Probably war, but "best of the bunch"
AOC = 100% war, she has 0 credibility/cachet among washington elites, they'll bend her to say, do it or we kill you, and she's got nothing, exactly the same position as Obama.

Beware the military industrialist influence, Eisenhower.

In my opinion, Eisenhower was the last great Republican president, in spite of his toleration of CIA policies in the 3rd world. But he did know to keep us out of French Indochina.

Pretty much all American presidents are war mongers, short of the few founding fathers. Even then, debatable.

It doesn't really come down to their personality or core belief, our system is set up to be imperialist. That's all it's ever been.

The president SERVES corporations.

I already have sever sleeping issues, and now I'm on this anxiety medication that enhances all of them. I've averaged about 2-3hrs of sleep a night for the past 5 days and my entire body is, like, buzzing and tingling and I'm slurring speech a tad. Insomnia. Fun stuff.  :confused:

Can also often trigger suicidal ideation.

Root cause isn't ne1 thing. It's the totality of the system we live in which create these maladies. There is no way out unless you actively / intelligently educate oneself and disconnect.

I'm maintaining my 3x a week, but due to fatigue the time I spend each go has been reduced by about 20 mins. So I'm losing an hour a week of gym due to fatigue. The medication has also caused me to gain back some significant weight in a short time, about 15lbs in 2 months.

I enjoyed this tipsy bartender's account of US best and worst presidents and what they liked to drink:

Not his ranking. He got it from a research institute who made it from compiling multiple rankings and sources.
More
Eisenhower: #6 best.
Trump, based on his first term only: #3 worst, beaten only by the presidents who campaigned for slavery and got USA into its civil war, or fouled up after Lincoln.

hmm, my downsized clothes I got fit looser. On the tightest belt loop, and lrg shirts fit loose around the waist. Perhaps it is muscle weight? Then why the hell did I drop down so much weight in 6 months then all the muscle built up in 2 months when I started slacking off on my routine? That doesn't make sense. Less gym time, but heavier lifts = 15lbs of muscle in 2 months? Can that math be correcvt?

Muscle absent special circumstances, steroids, etc,  only builds at around 5-7 lb per year

Not counting bone, you're mostly water. If you see large fluctuations in a short time, it's mostly water, influenced by many things, medications, etc.

I don't know what the **** is '15lbs', but you absolutely can gain muscle at a higher rate if you do heavier lifts more rarely. Especially if it's combined with better sleep and respective diet changes.

As far as I know, 15lbs is around 1325.6kg :) You gain that much muscle plus around 2 inches in your chest (that is around 89.4cm)

I think that your metric conversion is a bit high.

When I exercise diligently, my weight changes very little but fat is converted to muscle.

There is a large body of science which confirm, if you eat fat, you store it, if you eat Carbohydrates, you burn it.

This is consistent with human evolution because fats are quite rare in nature, so we have high storage efficiency 97%. If you eat 10g of fat, 9.7g is directly transported to your fat cells, without conversion. If your fat cells are biopsied, they can tell you if it's fish oil, or canola.

WHEREAS, if you want to to do denovolipogenesis, the conversion of CARBOHYDRATEs into Fats, you lose 30%, If you eat 10g, you can at best store 7. The human body HATES doing this. Because under natural conditions, it would represent a huge inefficiency.

You can see a huge difference in behavior for TRUE carnivores, A lion EATs a HUGE meal, then they sleep it off for several days.

Carnivores are mostly SEDENTARY the majority of their life. Whereas HUMANS and herbivores, have to eat regularly, because we do not store what "we're supposed" to be eating, Carbs.

In human evolution, When carbohydrates were plenty, this was the WARM seasons, so there is absolutely no reason to convert to fat for storage, generally, if you eat 15% more in carbs than your basal metabolism, all of that is converted to Heat or Activity. Because during that warm season, was when you should be getting stuff DONE, whatever required doing.

So, if you're STILL FAT, after all that exercise, it's not that you haven't gained muscle, it's because you're eating enough fats, such that your fat stores are growing on top of what minimal amount of muscles you've added.

Raw muscle growth absent special cases, genetic/ steroids, is extremely slow, 5lb-7lb per year, whereas FATs are RAPID, you can gain 1/4 lb a day if you can stomach it, again because the storage efficiency is so high.

That is NOT why carnivores sleep more, good lord what disinformation.
Carnivores have adapted to have the luxury to sleep more due to them having to spend far less time foraging and staying vigilante against predators. It is not the meat that they are biologically built to digest and turn to energy that makes them sleep. Herbivores need to constantly be eating all day to maintain enough energy levels to just stay alive off of plants, whereas say, a lion could eat only one meal every few days and not have to expend their energy hunting and searching for food.
Additionally, you are using crepuscular felines as an example of carnivore sleep habits which is already an extremely skewed example. Koalas are herbivores and sleep 20+ hours a day, but no one would choose koalas to represent all of herbivores.

NT, you read alot of bro-pseudoscience. And you have a clear habit of NOT vetting your information source, based on your defective geo-political understanding.

I've pointed the way, if you want to kill yourself on Carnivore, blow up your arteries, get prostate enlargement->cancer, then it is what it is.

I've an associate's degree in animal science, and spent 2.5 years as a volunteer at the Franklin Park Zoo. You keep attempting to insult my extensive knowledge about things I've literally been educated and worked in for years. It is an ugly habit to rearguard those trying to help you, but information bias is too integrated into your way of thinking to actually learn and grow your knowledge base. If anything you get progressively worse as time goes on, sad and frustrating to watch, especially knowing we are your only outlet for communication and social interaction with other people. I keep fluctuating between blocking you and unblocking you because you are entertaining, but your willful ignorance is trying. Be better, tp.

I don't know what degrees you think you have, your character is entirely inconsistent. I do know you don't read much, and what you do read you don't question.

I make no judgement as to what you are, as that is irrelevant on the internet.

Just change your name to Dunning-Kruger and be done with it. You've become a parody of yourself, and you were a joke to begin with already.

As far as I know, 15lbs is around 1325.6kg

You gain that much muscle plus around 2 inches in your chest

I think that your metric conversion is a bit high.

When I exercise diligently, my weight changes very little but fat is converted to muscle.

I was just joking :) Wanted to sound like Chyrosran on some of his videos when he converts imperial and metric talking about keyboards :)

Tp4 is not depressed. Tp4 writing style is predominantly sarcastic.

Your whole personality is invented and for whatever reason, you project that on to everyone. The fact that you invoke Dunning-Kruger at all cements your low educational status. You parrot internet populist jargon, and you've never read past it. You are squarely what they call functionally illiterate.

Tp4 is not depressed.

TP4 is a nihilist.

converts imperial and metric

It would have been more humorous to say that 15 pounds is 1325 gerbil tenth-weights (true).

From the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8 :

The   Congress   shall have Power
To declare War,  grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;
To provide for calling forth the Militia  to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

Tp4 doesn't identify as a nihilist, but, in general, if you take self awareness to the limit of your biology, the only remaining characteristic is something akin to nihilism.

This is where miracle / faith / quantum philosophies would take over, because you don't have the capacity to disprove anything further, thus everything further is equally plausible.

Less gym time, but heavier lifts = 15lbs of muscle in 2 months? Can that math be correcvt?
I don't know what the **** is '15lbs', but you absolutely can gain muscle at a higher rate if you do heavier lifts more rarely. Especially if it's combined with better sleep and respective diet changes.

As far as I know, 15lbs is around 1325.6kg :) You gain that much muscle plus around 2 inches in your chest (that is around 89.4cm)
I'm pretty fluent in those "imperialistic" stuff:D
holy ****, that's over a tonne of muscle, I wouldn't fit in my house!

I know!

When my kids were coming up, we found that the unit of measurement "one gerbil-weight" = 50g to be useful in visualizing scale. But then 1 of our gerbils got old and obese, and his weight ballooned to 60g.

Was that 10g really that visible?
I never seen a gerbil, but I can imagine a 60g hamster :)

Oh, absolutely! Especially standing beside his sister/cousin? you would say ONLY 10g ?

That is about +20%, about the difference between my weight now compared to when I was in college ....
