We all finger our boards all day, I don't think the strength is the problem.

Then what is the problem?

sigh....

Well, back when I was still playing the game..

The reality of boy-girl interaction is dead simple..

There was sex, the end..

Girls are raised so differently from boys..

They each develop interests and hobbies that become firmly established in the teenage years.

So later on,  when they try to do something together,  the common thing will never be the MOST interesting thing that they've been raised to do..

For example..

Lets say a girl likes shopping for clothes (THE BEST)
Lets say a boy likes working on engines (THE BEST)

The apex of their interests do not cross..

SO,  at best they default to a common interest that's only Mildly amusing to the both of them..

^^^  This hobby (whatever it is) will always be less interesting than SEX,  and so guess what happens in the end..

They have sex.. and ignore each other from then on to go do their own things..

This is why the majority of relationships follow this the cycle where you get super close, then distant, then bored, and if without children,  break up..

You've got everything in life figured out... except keyboards, and here you are.
My wife I a also push her button . But now she have her button push by a different men. So I buy a keyboard a mechanicale, she a reliable like a Fiat.

I mean someone with such a low wpm would clearly not be very skilled with his fingers, and that would show in others activities.

Meanwhile tp has 130wpm so it might not be revelant.

When we go on dates, should we bring along some of our tricked-out keyboards so it'll be obvious how cool we are?

I actually brought a car-full of keyboards to my last date.  :))  I didn't get them out, but they were there, ready to impress if needed!

It's actually not such a bad idea if you're going out with someone you haven't met yet. Book dinner at a really nice restaurant. Then if necessary, you can go out, fetch the KBs, and conduct a loud technical lecture on them right there at the table.

BTW, I'd like to thank everyone for avoiding the "Wang" and "rubber dome" jokes.

Then if necessary, you can go out, fetch the KBs, and conduct a loud technical lecture on them right there at the table.

okay advice time

would you date somebody who only typed at 50wpm or less?

seems like another deal breaker for me

They clearly have no finger strength!

There's a korean Starcraft player called Jaedong. Yes, his fans do refer to him as THE DONG. Anyways, there would be matches with girls screaming for him and when they interviewed a girl from that crowd, she said "If his APM (aka WPM in Starcraft) is like that, imagine what he could do to me". Or at least I think it was Jaedong that it happened to.

ANYWAYS, TL:DR, no you shouldn't date someone with low WPM. You know what they say about low WPM...

Well that was a good story. It's a shame Starcraft doesn't do anything for me lol.

So much good advice up in here.

Don't believe this story, girls only scream at skilled video game players in parallel universes.

However, being knowledgeable and skilled certainly can be attractive.  A professionally done keyboard modification in a mall food court or other crowded space is a surefire and timeless method to attract the attention of potential suitors.
