Only 110 volts, could be worse :))

Did you fix it?  A microwave is one thing I wouldn't bother opening up as who knows what's going on in there...

The door switch gone bad, Honeywell brand spdt. (vbasic)

The intermittent connection degraded one of the relays.

Relays are omron.  I decided to go with replacement Omron switches instead of honeywell.

Good work - no point binning a working zapping box just because it doesn't know the door's shut.  I might have attempted that fix and having tried to tighten the screws inside a plug while the attached Christmas lights were glowing next to me it might have had a similar outcome...

The next trick is the remove the door to the microwave, defeat the Darwin switch and set it to constantly on.

This way you never have to waste time setting the microwave or opening the door.

110v is the input.
All it takes is a decent sized capacitor in there and the voltage can go MUCH higher, people have been killed opening unplugged PC power supplies this way.

Well, the Kill thing is usually only peeps with atherosclerosis, The spontaneous shock causes rupture in their arterial plaque, dumping cholesterol laden endothelial scar tissue into their bloodstream. Typically resulting in a heart attack ontop of residual brain stroke.

I've felt unplugged PSU too - it got stuck to my hand until I slowly slid it to the edge of the desk and gravity took over.  I thought it hurt more than mains but why would a 230-12V converter go higher first...

My friend did the big electric shock thing best though, he was sat on his feet and the shock straightened his legs and he flew to the other end of the bed.

I think that the really big jolts blast you away and disconnect you quickly, and the worst case is when you spasm but stay in place.
