Pretttty kewls.

Beating stock hynix sets with the default cheapo samsung microcenter bundled ram.

Most of those hynix stock sets are 30 40 40 96 or 30 36 36 96 at 6000mhz

This set's doing 32 34 34 80 at 6200mhz

Why does Tp4 feel compelled to buy 8000rpm fans.  He hasn't done it, but it's always in the back of his mind.

8000rpm could be his, yet with absolutely no where to put them.

You know what's weird.   There are so many "brand new" ugly PCs out there.

It's one thing if someone was taking alot of old stuff and pushing forward, but you see these people with all new parts, and it's ugly as hell.

Tp4 can't understand this. Are they even trying?

Ram settings verified. Prime95 stable.

32-34-34-80 6200mhz 1.435v from  36`36`36`96 6000mhz 1.35v

Pretty solid gains. Beats most stock hynix sticks.

32 33 32 80 should be possible, buhhhh does Tp4 want to use another 5KW of electricity to find out? No.. not really. :-X

Speaking of ram, I can't get my sticks to run at advertised speed on my kinda crappy motherboard (prime b650m-a). I feel like I might spring for a different motherboard just to address this. sticks aren't on QVL list. not too concerned with the extra cost of a different motherboard, but more concerned about whether it'll actually make a difference. no difference would seem like a waste of time for me lol.

Set vsoc to 1.2- 1.225

vddq and vddio to 1.25 for samsung, 1.35-1.4 for hynix

Set BCLK to 100mhz

set infinity fabric to 2000.  mclk = uclk 3000mhz (60x multi).

set gear down mode to auto (motherboard dependent), auto works in most cases.
set power down mode to disable
set memory context restore to disable. (required for max stability, even at 6000)

There's nothing wrong with the board, if it's on an older bios, it probably just has a low stock vsoc, which can cause some processors to not boot 6000.  Most new bioses move the default vsoc to 1.2-1.25

Memory context restore is also a big one, very rarely can you enable it and be stable. It might be stable with it on for a day or a week, and then crap out randomly.  That's just how it is on this platform.

Sitting back, Can Tp4 feeeel CL 32-6200 vs CL 36-6000.

LOL, in testing an old CPU bound game, 1000fps is now roughly 1150fps. That's nice, but can you feeel that. hrrm..

These fans are ugly, they should be removed from the market.

Infinity mirrors are horrid, there's absolutely no context for their existence in the presentation itself.

The Antithesis of Aesthetic.

The new Phanteks are not bad, solid lines. Massssively overpriced though.

IN general ,  You just don't want so many led bars/ protrusions, it just looks messy like LIGHT ACNE.

Simple circles are balanced on their own.  Tp4 demonstrates this perfectly with budget fans.

Also important is understanding that RGB 255,255,255 is NOT white, on most fans, it's Cyan, approximately 1000-1500nits of green and 2000nits of blue.  The RED is gone.

Below is Properly calibrated 93K White. Different on different fans, but approximately RGB 255, 181, 115

Running max bright also Turns other colors BLACK due to contrast. It's important to lower the brightness so the color from the other components are visible.

Colorimeters really help dial things in, Tp4 recommends everyone get a colorimeter to setup their case LEDs.

Below, we also see yellow rgb, 255, 165, 0. If you just turned on RGB 255, 255, 0, you actually get a very bright green.

RGB is too bright and keeps me up at night since my home office in in my bedroom. I used to open up RGB components and snip the led wire or just pull them off, but more modern components have the led tied to the main wiring and you can't just circumcise your leds anymore :(

I have been looking for more carbon fiber parts though. Got CF fans/shroud/trim/and bracket for my gpu and it looks sick as hell
This case is so slick, but I cannot justify the $300 for my old rig

Nothing wrong with carbon fiber as a texture, but again, like infinity mirrors, they're there out of context, which makes it gauche.

tp u cray cray, carbon fiber, I mean REAL carbon not a plastic wrap, is sheer class. I'd even say moresoe than a precious metal like gold. Look at who demands cf - the top of their fields for weight reduction, heat dissipation, and durability without compromise on manufacturing or cost. Look at who likes gold - Saudi Princes and Donald Dump.

CF is all class, without the gaudy gaucheness, an understated representation of the peak in human manufacturing.

Thin flat FFC cables in mice.

Yea, the weight savings, but honestly, they're not nearly as resistant to drops as the older ribbon cables with thin tube sleeves, mainly due to the connector.

The connector is the problem for FFC, the clamping plastic insert can shake loose or turn slightly making poor contact for the cable. It doesn't take much to loosen them.

will give it a shot over the weekend, I haven't had time to tinker the past two days. my motherboard doesn't support the advertised speed that my sticks run at, which is why I'm not certain it can do it.

Youtubers reviewing monitors.

Tp4 shakes head,  they don't know anything about monitors. Literally nothing. It's worse than 0, because they perpetuate misinformation.

Don't know how to feel about the Western Digital 8100 ssd.

They're not using a custom controller this time, just off the shelf. If that's the case, what are we paying for ? Does it have the same WD stability/tuning standards/durability of previous Gen ?

Understanding Gamut Narrowing.

Notice these gamut measurements correlating to Luminance.

On LCD and W-OLED, as luminance rises, the gamut coverage goes down, because white light (lcd leakage) and w-oled pixel pollute the color purity, reducing / narrowing the gamut (saturation) of the color primaries.

VS  QD- Oled, which is PURE RGB, with no pollution, very pure color, the only technology which beats it in gamut is Trichroma-Laser, but that has more limitations for use with modern media.

W-OLED

That's a 6400 hynix kit.

Most Ryzen cpus will not boot 6400. Nothing to do with the board.

You need 1.35 to 1.45 vddq to  and vddio for hynix

The other settings should help. 6000 and 6200 will for sure boot at 1.25 vsoc, If you want 6400, you will probably need 1.3, and if you want that latency minimizer thingie, you can try 2133mhz infinity fabric instead of 2066 or 2000.

Start the infinity fabric lower at 2000, and get the other settings down first.
