Kidney stone.

Damn, what's with all the kidney stones...is that from holding your piss?

Nope. Niner season about to start. They hurt me before they even start playing.

I already got money on the Raiders winning the AFC West and it's not just my usual team-hype nonsense, they can really pull it off this year!

Cat still can't come home... really depressed and worried. Bunch of other **** is stressing me out too... have gotten an email from my "bank" which was a really ****ing bad phishing scam, and got a call from UPS saying they need my brokerage number before they can release my package but when I emailed them they said there was no such hold on my package. Thing is it was an automated voice mail and they knew all my information and what was in the package and shipping number o_O

that and all the money needed to try and keep my cat alive... might have to sell some ****

The thing in my left testicle is back and it's not going away.
I've had doctors appointments every week the last month and they still haven't figured out what is wrong. Having more tests done but nothing seems to be happening and the pain is nearing unbearable levels.

That reminds me I need to go get my pain meds, that I need to shove up the butt. Fun couple days.  :blank:

Bad school thing forces me to take more subjects for the next 2 years, instead of me having done them already. Pretty annoying considering i want to get my degree within the next 2 years.

Hopefully i can push through and leave this place. Who would've know i'd be responsible for people putting the right grades on the wrong subjects on my record.

Yeah it's not a fun thought. And I am a little depressed at the moment but hopefully they'll find something.
I kinda want them to find something and at the same time I don't.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yep pretty much the same here. Just waiting on dat fiber to reach my area. Although my hopes aren't too high, I'm sure something will delay it indefinitely.

The isp I'm using right now actually said ppl would be fine on copper until 2020. Which is why I'm ditching them first chance I get. **** them for slowing down the fiber.

I'm bothered by my low post count and the resulting inability to enter artisan raffles.  I understand the reasons and I'm not much of a forum spammer, so it will probably take me a few months to get to a point where I can buy/sell or enter drawings   :'(

Just a reminder -- posts in the off-topic section don't count.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

This recent thing where people like super deformed hydrocephalitic googly or empty soulless eyed vinyl figures. I don't get it.

Especially these POP figures that 90% of the time look nothing like their namesakes, more often than not just downright ugly lumps.

Is it infantalization, like they are babies now so they appeal to you now that the character has been bastardized?

What is the deal with giant headed empty eyed deformed figures!

I think bobbleheads started the trend with popular athletes and famous actors (Hawaii?) then it bled into nerd culture and later became Pop figures (some are bobbleheads go figure). My best guess is it's one of the coolest ways to have direct visual confirmation of an earthquake while you're busy with an intense cognitive task. or game.

That bothers me too!!! haha j/k I knew it before I posted.

Especially now that we're considering the 1000 post entry limit..

Because we're getting screwed by the hit-n-run newbies..

Lately I've been getting out of the arcade collecting scene, so I know a fair amount about hit and run newbies as well as the overall lifecycle of a sales forum. Entry limits on post count and date joined are essential to deter the flippers, scammers, and hit'n'runs that will eventually show up if there is $$ around.  It's also extremely nerve wracking to buy or sell to someone new. I have spent close to 3k on ONE game before like this and it wasn't fun, even after I had the tracking number..... thankfully everything was fine.

I'm happy to poke around here and eventually I'll get there.  Have to start somewhere.  Thankfully there's massdrop until I can use the classifieds. Just need to stay out of boopers thread (and all the other awesome artisans).

Someone turned the heat on in my side of the office over the weekend and now its ~88F inside, the other half of the office is only ~74F.

Lucky you!

It's the middle of winter over here and the office heating is broken again.

We've had three different guys in to look at it, and no-one can work out what is wrong.

Plus the unit is in such an awkward position that they can't get to it properly anyway.

Coming back again tomorrow to remove part of the roof to try to get to it (although I suspect that they will be removing part of the ceiling, as we are on the 3rd floor of a 7 story building, so removing the roof wouldn't get them very far).

Also I think I'm getting a cold.

Everyone else at home has had one, I managed to miss out.

Now I have that annoying tickle at the back of my throat that won't go away.

Damn! :(

Umm...

I just checked the weather in Melbourne.  It's 80degF+ currently.  Why in the hell would you turn on the heat??  That's my threshold for turning on the AC...

This must be some strange Aussie joke.

Edit: Oops, that was Melbourne, FL.  :))  Never mind me... Carry on!   :-[

I imagine that a lot of Aussies are like people in the South that get all their sweaters and winter coats out for sub-50F weather.

I imagined that being the case, but that was just too extreme to even be sensible.   :))

I imagine that most people up north put on sunscreen to go grocery shopping  But yea I have worn layers of clothing in the mornings that had to be removed by the end of the day because of the heat.. I think Rowdy was kidding about the winter bit
