so i just went to my job to put my 2 weeks notice in and this was the response i got. Let me remind you this is a warehouse partime job...

boss: "you cant do that, you have to go to the main office in freehold because you have 5-7call outs(bull****)..."

me "you do realize im quitting my job and not asking for anything right, like this is just notice im leaving in 2 weeks"

boss "ugggh come in tomorrow when my boss is here"

i actually came in to speak with HR about it, but he wasnt there for the day. I really wish i knew what my boss was trying to say about call outs? does he mean i cant quit because i have called out of work to much??? LOL

Sadly the less money you make the more of a headache leaving is, mostly because the managers usually have quite a bit less qualifications, training, experience, and support.

Wow!!! Guy sounds like a tool  ) as was mentioned its always good to cover your ass even if your not planning on relying on the job for a good reference. A letter of resignation gives you some documentation you at least tried to do the good thing!

I got stuck in Vegas once on my way to Coachella. I was able to buy a 6 pack for me and my friend. I was 17/18. Wooo underage drinking!

Damn Impending....A couple more hours your brain will start releasing loads of serotonin and dopamine to try And get you to pass out.
It's actual quite a pleasent feeling. It's like the warm fuzzy head heavy feeling(at least that's what it feels like to me) go a another 12-24 hours after that without sleep and you start to hallucinate

Actually I only lived in brum part time and now I'm moving in with my gf properly, the place I'm moving out of ATM is just outside Stafford. So yeah pretty excited to be moving to brum properly only problem is where to park my car to unload, TV/PC etc... It's a nightmare lol

Ohhhh yeah, the one opposite Starbucks? I see where your problem is. Maybe park up by the Cathedral? I'm sure it's pay and display around there.

Thanks I'm pretty happy we have it sorted, although the vendor's sale fell through a few days ago which sucks, they are going to have to find a new place now so I'm hoping we aren't waiting around for too long.

This is a pet peeve of mine - I would avoid them except that they are often significantly better.

I can't even think about moving, even though it is inevitable in ~5 years or so. I have lived in this house for almost 16 years and it has a large basement packed with "stuff" mostly of little value to anyone but me. Worst part is, some of it is inherited from family and friends who have died in recent years, and it is even harder to toss "their" stuff than mine.

And, being an old man, I have hundreds (thousands?) of books, records, CDs, and comics which I would love to "pass on" to my kids, but they don't even care about physical "content" having grown up in the digital age.
