What class?  Deriving int(cos(x^7)) is pretty complex... Any exponentials in those trig functions just **** everything up.

I'm not sure what wolfram is doing..

But, I too have not had to do anything like this for a hooile.. But Generally, I'm pretty sure this is the type of problem where you get something + something (dx) + c,  and you keep integrating and add it up at the end.

double check if the problem is  cos7(x)

there's like a sub thing for even/odd powers of doing that integration.

I have to take three levels of calculus for computer engineering, it's terrible. The class average for the first exam was a 45%, second exam was a 68%. I need to obtain a C or higher to stay in my major otherwise I would need to drop majors or take the class again, luckily I'm doing well enough to be passing but it's a struggle. We're just finishing up derivatives and graph sketching now, problems take forever to solve and simplify. Here's an example from two quizzes ago where we have to find f'(x)

I had to take four levels and it was glorious.  :D

I couldn't even imagine four levels of calculus.
That problem was just a huge page filler there haha, hard to keep track of all the derivatives. Luckily I got it correct on my quiz, but only have 50 minutes to complete 6 questions similar to the previous one is rough.
Sketching graphs isn't too difficult but having to go through all the steps to find the intervals of increase/decrease, concavity, etc. is annoying.

Yeah, I had to do 4 levels of calc plus some diff eq classes when I still was pursuing an engineering major.  Then I switched majors and only had to take the 4 calc classes, making the diff eq a waste of time.  The irony is that the differential equations are probably what I have to do more often these days.

That problem looks tedious to do, but honestly kinda fun.

Is that supposed to be e^(2/(x+1)) or 2/((e^x)+1)?

It's e^(2/(x+1)), the problem wasn't too bad but tedious. When they start to get long it's easy to lose track of a negative sign or power.

They don't even taste like proper white chocolate

I love real chocolate but am indifferent to white chocolate - except that I have a serious thing for white chocolate and macadamia nut cookies!
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

I'm right there with you. A little inspiration from Junior Murvin - "Son, don't put your hat where you can't reach it...it doesn't make no sense..."

Also, what's irking me is the surge of people trying to sell stuff. It's a buyers market for sure. Everyone needs that holiday $$$ though.

Yes!! So much stuff has been bought be me lately, that I'm trying to stay away from the classifieds, eBay and the like.  I'm feeling a new gmk set, but I can't decide between hyperfuse, Skidata + or some OG stuff

I'm very tempted to use my Paypal balance and get Hyperfuse GMK, but I'm probably just going to wait a few months for tax refund season. I'm not very crazy about the Hyperfuse colors, I'll probably wait for some OG dyesubs to appear again.

edit: went to go buy a Pexon Realforce cable. $53 after shipping..wow. It's not for me...so..pass.

Don't complain. Could have been 7:00am

My eye keeps twitching.  I'm sure it's a combination of stress and anger with this one facility.

I've talked to IT so much recently that they know me by just my voice.

Now you are on the troublemaker list. All IT departments have one.

Yep if you're on this list, you can be pretty sure they have a special face expression to show the team you're the one calling.

I'm very sure they all hate me by now. Makes me feel sad.

Haha! I know the feeling well, my friend. It is tough getting older and knowing you can't keep up with the kids anymore. Being in your thirties does have it's perks though. At least we are through that teenage angst phase.

Indeed, took me until I was in my mid-twenties though. I still can go full emo if the stars align.

Okay. So, my car gets into an accident on Thursday. They say "it's totaled". Much sadness ensues. We are all: "Are you sure it is totaled? It is not an inexpensive car." and they are like "Yes, totaled, 100% for sure". So, we take a 3 hour drive to sign the paperwork to basically have the insurance company buy the car so they can pay off the loan and cut us a check. They say we will get the appraisal of the car sometime early next week. That brings me to today. My husband just called to find out the status on the claim, we went looking for a car, and want to know when we can buy it. The insurance guy on the phone says "oh, we were waiting on you to proceed with the repair, turns out it's not totaled. It is worth more than we thought."

WTF! What the ****ity ****!??! Do they have any idea how emotionally taxing this is!?! I'm over that car and all it's post crash issues. I don't WANT it. My husband, by some kind of weird, manly emotional breakdown, now doesn't want it. I'm ready to lose my mind. They better total it or I'm just...I don't even know. I'm like beside myself right now.

WOW.  It's like they don't even care about your feelings at all.  Unbelievable.  Due to some stupid mixup on their end "oops, my bad", you're dealing with this now.  Ugh.  I don't even know what I'd do.
