And are we gonna have a GH party on CS:GO or what :P?
This needs to happen

tell me where I can rent a server for cheap

or if someone will host one

then I'll arrange a gamenight.

We can always just jump on an empty server.

Make a wishlist on isthereanydeal.com so you can get instant notification of sales. You can also check the price history for games across a huge range of sites; CS:GO was last 75% this January and the sale prices this year haven't been as good as last year (when it went to $3.75 every few months)
thanks for this. I used to use cheapassgamer until that site went to ****.

So...is Dragon Age Origins showing up at 125%off for anyone else, or just me under the community choice? Shwing up at -$7.51...I'd try to buy it, but I already have it.

Typically when things hit Daily or Flash sales, they don't get any cheaper so I wouldn't expect to see CS:GO cheaper during this sale... but who knows, Valve is always changing things up.

No problem! I used to use CheapShark but ITAD integrates with Enhanced Steam (which btw is the best way to browse the store, especially during sales)

Metal Slug 3 is $2.71 right now. Probably my favorite Metal Slug, a really solid shooter with lots of level branching, but it's Metal Slug so of course it's going to be amazing :D

It's showing up for 125% on all of the computers in my house. Only shows up for 75% on the browser on my computer. Weird.

I'm having way too much fun building space planes. Though my current models fly perfectly, I am having trouble building one that will actually survive leaving the atmosphere.  :))
Vampire Bat MK IV v6.3 is a fast beauty but simply adding 'moar boosters!' means it will just explode just before leaving the runway.

if you like simulators, yes, it's good

So as a simulator it's not ****ty and boring?  Cause The Sims is a simulator but it's interesting cause there's a lot of depth to it.  This is just trains.  I'm not asking if I'll like the genre, I'm asking if it's a ****ty game or if it's well done.  Your answer seems to indicate that it is well done.

Liking trains is sort of a requirement too ;)

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. Anyone had any particularly bad experiences with this (considering it is early access)?

Stay away! If you need more info, check this thread on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/295w2c/steam_summer_sale_day_8/cihq86a

but to summarize:

Quote
"Its just a simple case of devs trying to tackle a project that is way over their head. I backed the kickstarter (2 years?) ago and it hasn't really seen meaningful updates since then."

Quote
"As another kickstarter backer, I agree. Castle Story is in no way worth $13 right now and at the rate they're going it will never drop that Early Access tag."

Quote
"From their community managers comments they weren't even using Object-Orientation in the game until the 'refactor'. Before that they managed to bag almost a million dollars in funding and spent an entire year working on the game, missing all deadlines, insulting and banning community members before finally moving to fix it.

And they still, to this day, call anybody who complains a part of the "vocal minority". And claim that no matter what your game is, or how good it is, you'll always get a reaction like this from your fans. And that it's normal."

Ouch!

Thanks for that.  Unfortunately I already bought it

I also discovered that I already have Train Simulator 2014 in my Steam library - wonder when I got that
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Stupid sales... I'm now up above 1400 games in my Steam library.

I think I may have a problem.  :)

I'm kind of eyeing Castle Story.

Anyone had any particularly bad experiences with this (considering it is early access)?

And that it's normal."

another shining example of the early access model failing gloriously. when will consumers wise up, and stop paying full price for unfinished products with no guarantees?

TIL there's more than 3 MD games. I'm a huge fan of MD2, one of the best puzzle games ever made IMO, going to have to check them out.

NO... don't buy MD V...  do not support those a$$holes who stole people's money and never released the multiplayer fix.

Get it!
This is a fine example of early access done right - the team seems to have a solid roadmap, provides regular updates to the game (twice this month alone), they are adding new cars / licensed brands on a regular basis, and it's a freaking fantastic game as is, only getting better! It doesn't have a career more like GT yet and the AI racers & multiplayer are still being worked on, but the physics and sound in this game are second to none (IMO of course). I paid $30 during the Winter Sale and have no regrets. It plays well with a gamepad and is just loads of fun with a proper steering wheel & pedals... about as close to driving any of these cars as I'm likely to get   :))

Yes! Looks like $14.99 is as good as it's gonna get for Transistor and that's fine by me; I really like Bastion & I barely paid for it, so those guys deserve some coin!

Do you know what is actually in the game already?? I've tried a bunch of games like AC before they have come out and all you get is some time trials stuff... like I wana go racing..
Right now there's picture mode, free practice, time trial, drift events, and race events against the computer AI; I don't think the online multiplayer is in yet, nor the career or the drag race modes, but I haven't launched it in a while, so I'll have to check tonight to be sure what's in game currently. The game is also moddable - I've already seen some custom tracks like Joux Plane released for it - so I *think* it's possible for people to make their own race events, if not currently then eventually.
