How are some of my supervisors less educated and experienced than I am yet get paid 6 figures? How did they got those jobs they very clearly do not understand how to do?
There is a TON of incompetence as you go up the chain - it's absolutely baffling. I seriously cannot understand how some of these people got hired. Does anyone work in HR for a tech company and want to shed some light on the hiring or job app review process? It's to the point where I will describe a basic function or straight forward test case and just get a blank stare back with zero input. Then an email 2 hours later asking me to detail what I just said step by step - and after all that they still cannot do their job properly. Who ****ing hired them?!? It makes me super salty knowing they make so much more and don't even seem to understand why they are there.
Hahahaha..
It's not their job to mind the details..
It's YOUR job to know what THEY WANT YOU TO DO... You are on the detail..
There is a great deal of misconception about the corporate hierarchy.
Managers need to know how to Manage, if they come from a technical background, even better..
But their PRIMARY concern is managing the PEOPLE that do the actual-work.
As for who gets paid more... haha... His job is NOT your job, his job is just as difficult as your job..
You are the Grunt doing much grunt work, yes, but the manager's job is complex in other ways..
-- You will be able to fully compare how difficult any task is, However keep in mind that the time cost to any action regardless of difficulty is roughly the same --
Maybe he's responsible for Kissing alot of ass..
I assure you, that job is soul crushing, and he drinks himself to sleep..
This happens often as you move up the ladder..
But this is the way the game is..
WHY is it so stupidly silly.. I can give you the answer but it's a very long one, and I'd have to teach you many things..
I'm not sure there's space for that here..
PM if interested..
