My wife gets very antsy when the kids are sick and she stressed me up more than the sick kids. She will be taking their temp every 10 minutes and that bothered me a lot. Leave them alone, they are tougher than you think!

Yeah we have definitely learned a lot over the years but it still stresses me out when they get things that border on serious but are almost always just viral illnesses that will eventually clear up on their own.

Yeezy's were delivered and USPS site says they were left in the front office. No one in the front office has any recollection of a delivery at that time, and apparently they just vanished into thin goddamn air.

Now I don't know if USPS was .lying about when they delivered it, or the front office is lying about never receiving it.

House-destroying equipment was delivered down the road at 19:47 tonight.

At 20:00 it becomes illegal to make construction noise, including heavy machinery and delivery of plant/equipment.

Although they did deliver the portable toilet at 6:25 one morning, and noise is not permitted before 7am.

First house gone, only a small pile of rubble is left.

Second house is still standing.  That will probably go tomorrow.

First block is mostly cleared, and half the second house has gone.  Muddy tracks all over the road.

They are not supposed to start working on a building site before 9am on weekends and public holidays.

Today, Saturday, they were there at 8:30am full on noise, trucks, demolition etc.

So I went out to take some photos as evidence.

Ended up getting chased down the street by one of the builders.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

hahahahaha....

it takes time..

Everyone has to go through that materialistic phase, before they realize heck, possession itself is an expense..

It takes TIME to work, to research, to acquire..

At the end of the day, if a relatively expensive acquisition (regardless of how highly the item ranks) is without consistent proximal utility,   it would have been a waste.. relative to something easy to obtain, easy to use.

Begin to see your value in Time,   the number, the dollar sign,  relative to YOU as a person is meaningless..

Our personal clock only ticks one way.. DOWN...

Turns out,  it's just the usps system saying delivered,  despite it coming the next day, even next 2 days.

Unfortunately I called auspost and they confirmed that it was delivered and left on the porch, so I seriously doubt it

Ended up getting chased down the street by one of the builders.

Went to work this morning after way too little sleep over the weekend, fortunately before any of the builders arrived onsite.

My other half reported that they started up around 8:30 and seemed to make as much noise as possible for most of the day.

The two blocks are now flat level soil, with no indication that two family homes ever existed there.

All the lovely old gum trees are gone too.

I wish my street could have gum trees at all.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

All the lovely old gum trees are gone too.

The gum trees that grow in the SE US are pretty but the seeds are spiky balls that are a nuisance to walk on because they are painful when you step on them barefoot and also they are like ball bearings under foot that can make you lose your footing.

We had a couple of them at our old house and I was glad to leave them behind.
"It's 110, but it doesn't feel it to me, right. If anybody goes down. Everybody was so worried yesterday about you and they never mentioned me. I'm up here sweating like a dog. They don’t think about me. This is hard work.
Do you feel the breeze? I don't want anybody going on me. We need every voter. I don't care about you. I just want your vote. I don't care."

DOWN...

NO one ever Earns anything..

Everyone is always Spending 100% of the time,  their time, their life

So true. I procrastinate way too much. I'm stuck in limbo and scared of moving forwards. Scared of getting hurt.

Hahahahahaha... You are hurting right now... by not moving...  Contentment / Comfort / Happiness,  are all words for COMPLACENCY..

Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

That was basically my life for five years when I played it before. Hopefully it wont turn into that again.

I've been working non-stop for years, I haven't gotten anything of the ground for 5 years now, spent 5 years working on a project, now every morning, I feel like crying, I feel like I wasted all my potential, I wonder whether I was delusional. I spent a lot of money on ads, side investments, now I started worrying about my future, can't spend any more money, to top it all off, I'm probably experiencing a mid-life crisis, I feel old

This has been bothering me for some time, 2016 was depressing
