I spotted surveyors outside my house today. I know they are there for planning to build a couple new apartment blocks on the other side of the street.
Yay! There is going to be noise, dust and commotion right outside for at least five years, which is probably longer than I am going to stay here anyway.
In other news, Razer - infamous for their dishonesty and ****ty products, has bought up the THX brand - which was once a well-known badge of quality.
You have my deepest sympathy.
We have the same next door but one. Two houses were demolished recently, with as much noise as they could make for three days.
We understand the developers want to buy the house next door too.
We've also had enquiries about out house, with a stupid high figure offered.
So we'll end up with town houses probably, building noises for weeks, especially outside of permitted times. Trucks up and down the street all day and half the night. Mud all over the road and footpaths. Footpaths blocked and/or destroyed by construction equipment.
Then when they are finally finished (if we are still living there) there will be dozens of new families living there, with concomitant increase in (noisy) vehicles driving up and down the street, parking all along the street (it's already getting bad), and other noises.
This is no longer a nice place to live.
