im obviously mentally challenged

I seriously doubt that

I think what most people mean when they're frustrated in today's world is the erratic distance between intense dopamine surges.

<story>
I talk to myself pretty often. Usually, it's in the form of a Q&A session. I ask the question and then I answer the question, almost like I'm interviewing myself. The night job I worked at had a decent surveillance system. Might be why I had trouble with the people I worked with at my last night job. I worked alone but the manager was required to review the tapes ever so often. Oh well.

People are quick to judge strange people. But, we all know about Darwinism

I always talk to myself when I am trying to prepare something or when I am working on something... Like I have two people insode my head

I think I know what you mean. But with me, I talk to myself about everything. I'll even ask myself what happened during a previous IRL conversation. What went wrong, and why, that sort of thing. I never could get the hang of inner dialogue I guess. On camera, I probably look like one of those characters in a Sims game. The camera system of the place I worked at did not have audio. Thankfully :))

My phone screen doesn't seem to want to turn on. If I plug it into my computer, I can see the phone is 'working' via dmesg :/

nvm, it just turned on again.

But I am annoyed a co-worker that was going to proxy some stuff in person, has to now cancel their trip. So I'll have to get it sent instead.

I hope the scan indicates they are not!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

is it because of a girl? or gambling? or drugs? or you tried to get into stock market?
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Remember,   when comes a a stressful lineup, DO NOT use any psychoactive substances, SUCH AS, coffee/tea/alcohol/marijuana/amphetamine (Ritalin/Adderall)..

They alter the dopamine balance in such a way to greatly enhance short term concentration/ steady scheduling.  However, these effects wane as the brain adjusts to the higher dopamine level. Once a new receptor count has been established (it lowers), you would need even more of the substance to maintain the original benefits.     Eventually, the receptor count will drop so low, that you will become depressed if you're short those substances.

The problem with this cycle , is that it can not be maintained..   The only natural maintenance is sleeping when you're tired..

And to never take on responsibilities so dire, that they prevent you from normal sleep..

Of course, the exception is situations like WAR,  fighter-pilots take meth when they're in the air and tired (go-pills). Their dextroamphetamine is actually stronger than regular meth that drug addicts use..   can't lose those million dollar planes..

Subaru BRZ with some suspension goodies, lightweight wheels and sticky tires. Really fun car. It's funny because out of all the cars I've had, I've kept this one the longest while having the least amount of cylinders and a mere 200hp. The chassis really is spot on and leaves an open canvas to build upon.

coffee/tea/alcohol/marijuana/amphetamine (Ritalin/Adderall)..

fack.

Not sure if that last bit is bs, but if true that's fascinating.

I feel like I stumbled upon depression last winter and developed anxiety out of nowhere. Getting better and I have a guy I see a couple times a month. He's cool. I've never been a believer in the anti-anxiety/depression meds, so I've just been trying to naturally figure out the root cause on my own. I'm moderately active having such a **** schedule and I feel like that helps. Really into mountain biking and snowboarding.

Strange indeed.

Lots of stress .. New job in two weeks. Moving into a new condo in a few weeks. 5 Classes this semester at night. (finishing up by BSEE). Too little sleep.

Their dextroamphetamine is actually stronger than regular meth that drug addicts use..   can't lose those million dollar planes..

coffee/tea/alcohol/marijuana/amphetamine (Ritalin/Adderall)..

Strange indeed.

not even tea? clearly someone is not english enough.

Taking the Go-Pills is actually a REQUIREMENT for long air-missions,   For example, during a long bombing run that lasts for 48 hours.

The pilots HAVE TO take the pills, it's built into the mission parameters.

This is also why you hear about university students (using) adderall/ritalin to stay up late studying..

In fact, this stuff is everywhere,   Lots of people using them (without perscription) in intense professions where concentration gives you an edge..   Lawyers, doctors, mathematicians, traders..

I'm a huge fan of tea. I got this gluten free, vegan hippie chick at work that's all about the herbs. She hooks it up with the Kava tea.  ;)

haahhaa..'

For the longest time,  we didn't know WHY people drank tea/ coffee,  but now we do know.. They're actually getting a short duration high.

It's not intense enough to haywire a person like a hardcore drug, but the long term effects are quite similar.

That being,  Shortening natural attention span, higher probability of depression, lower inhibition, larger emotional swings.
